Illamasqua Agony.

Ive had this Lipstick for absolutely ages and don't give it enough love as I probably should. One of the reasons for this is probably that I find Agony is just not a Lipstick I can grab, put on and go. Illamasqua Lipsticks are very matte and I have to make sure my Lips are super soft and moisturised. They are intensely pigmented though and they last for ages without the need for constant re-applying.

Illamasqua Agony Lipstick swatch

Agony is a creamy beige nude and works well teamed with very intense Smokey eyes. Its actually quite similar to MAC Myth, although I would say Myth is more of an easier shade to wear. Myth is more peachy nude, where as Agony is more of a beige/brown nude and is more thicker in texture than Myth, and with it being so matte you have to be careful not to end up with dreaded concealer lips. I tend to just dap it on my lips, otherwise with it applied fully it does look too intense for me.

Do you own any Illamasqua Lipsticks? What do you think of them?

  2. I got this at one point but gave it to a friend as it gave me the dreaded "concealer" lip look. I do like the Illamasqua lippies especially Box, which is a beautiful red.

  3. I've never actually tried Illamasqua lipsticks. Are they expensive or about the same as MAC lipsticks?

  4. I have Obey which is a pretty corally peachy colour, and I totally agree with your comment about gerab and go. It's for that reason that I don't wear it often. It's a fab lipstick with amazing lasting power though, so I should wear it more! Agony looks pretty xx

I own one illamasqua lipstick that i got from sarahs blogsale in Sonnet which is a gorgeous peachy nude, but they are so thick, and pigmented like you say & quite hard to work with but i love it!

  7. Its true they do take work. I exfliate then apply 10kg balm then wait then put them on and top with a balm. It can be exhausting. There are only one or two Illamasqua lipsticks which dont have that over matte drying effect!!xx

  12. It's a really nice colour and sometimes I truely mourn the fact that I can't wear peachy/beige colours at all.

I really have to try Illamasqua lippies soon. I just ordered one of their lipglosses and can't wait for that.
