MAC MSF Natural. Where am I going wrong?

After reading and watching so many rave reviews on this product, I had to know what all the fuss was about. The shade I chose was Light/Medium and its a great match for my skin tone.

I've been using this constantly now since I received it for Christmas and I have to say I can't understand what all the fuss is about. To me its no different from any other setting powder Ive used. I currently use it with either a flat top brush or a kabuki and buff it in. However I'm failing to see how its worth its £18.00 price tag. Ive tried a lot of setting powders in my time for more than half the price and they do absolutely the same job. I still get a natural matte finish

So am I doing something wrong Ladies? applying it wrong etc?

  1. I am 100% with you I just don't get it - I find it very powdery too :(

  2. I spray fix+ on my buki before buffing it in, works a treat. On a clear skin day I can just use that with a dab of concealer without bothering with foundation.
    HTH! x

  4. I don't really like this powder at all =(. It just doesn't work for me, I think it makes me look like I have make up on and it's not the look I want xD. Besides, I dropped it a couple of days after I had bought it and my... What a mess! I also found it a bit drying =(. I'll just stick to translucent powders! =). X

  8. I got this for christmas too, and I dunno.. it's nice, but I feel like a drugstore powder would do the same thing! I def won't be repurchasing it!

  9. I really like this stuff - use 2 colours - one for all over and one as a bronzer - works a treat for me and if it does ever go a bit powdery I just spritz some fix+ over the top.

  11. I absolutely love my MSF natural, I use it alone most of the time and buff it in using a kabuki. I've never had a problem with it looking powdery, I guess it must just be down to different skin types!

  12. I use it as a powder foundation (obviously very light coverage), as I'm not a huge fan of liquid foundation. I use my MAC kabuki brush and buff it in, and my face looks lovely and even once I'm done. So to me it's worth the £18 :)

  14. I use mine with a 187, it's so soft and doesn't cake, and it's also mineral so it's not bad for your skin! Mine has lasted ages, had it for about 6 months, I use it every day to set my foundation and it's still domed if you know what I mean!
