MAC Myth is a satin flesh beige toned Lipstick and seems to be one of those Lipsticks, people either love or hate.
Many women find it to be too intense, giving them the whole "concealer lips" look and washing them out, making them look near enough dead, while other women swear by it as their perfect nude colour. It can be very drying on the lips and stick into every groove and line on the lips, so you need to make sure lips are properly exfoliated and soft and smooth to use this Lipstick. For me this is the perfect nude to pair with a dramatic smokey eye. I also always wear it with a gloss, mainly MAC C-Thru. Myth is a Lipstick that as soon as I'm about to "hit pan" I always buy another one. I am never without it in my collection.
Have you ever tried Myth? how do you feel about it?
The texture annoys me a little bit but it is still one of my faves. It may be sever but you can calm that down with some gloss and it really is that perfect 1970's nude look. It also works great to tone down load pinks and reds :).

I used to love lipsticks like Myth and Blankety but as I've gotten (a bit!) older, I can't wear them any more.
ReplyDeleteI'm all for neutral lips but shades like Brave New Bronze and the new MAC TLC in Close for Comfort are much more flattering on my skin tone.

I tried this at the MAC department. It didn't suit me at all, it's all down to my olive skin tone. Sooo jealous it suits you! x

ReplyDeleteYou've seen how pale I am and I think my skin is more cooler then warm toned and I was expecting to like this and for it to suit me. I swatched it at the counter and it was so peach on the back of my hand which I was not expecting. So a hate from me I'm afraid. ;)

I really want to get into lipstick this year as I never wear it, and I think a nude shade would be suited to my style. This one looks great - really subtle and laidback. Might just have to try it!

defo agree yoh need to be on the tand side to pull this of defo no lilly white skin tones.. your lips have got to be mega smooth tho think it was one of my first mac lippies and one of my favs
