I received this for Christmas as a gift (yep... only I would ask for eye cream for Christmas). Ive heard a lot of good things about Origins products in the past, but never tried any, so obviously my first port of call was an eye cream. After looking through the website I decided on A Perfect World for Eyes.
What Origins say:
A Perfect World™ for Eyes Firming moisture treatment with White Tea
Origins visionary formula instantly makes skin under eyes look and feel unbelievably smooth, renewed, relaxed. Vitamin A firms and tones. Mica brightens the appearance of dark circles. And nature's avant-guardian, Silver Tip White Tea, helps block oxidation while White Birch Extract helps lessen the appearance of new creases, crinkles, lines and wrinkles in the future.
After reading that description, it sounded just perfect. It claims to target everything that I want an eye cream to target. Firm and tones, brighten, tackle fine lines and also prevents lines and wrinkles from appearing.
So what did I think?
Upon first use I was quite surprised at how thick in texture it was. Its much more like a facial serum than an eye cream.
With it being so thick, I found that it takes quite a while for it to sink into my eye area. Now for me this is something I don't like. I need an eye cream to sink in pretty much straight away, because more often than not.. I apply my make up soon after. Nevertheless I decided I could live with that, as long as the results were good. I carried on using it for say 2 weeks in which time I started noticing my eyes were looking extremely puffy, and not just in the morning, all day long they were overly puffy. As I'd not started to use anything new other than the Origins eye cream, I knew this was the cause. So after 2 weeks I stopped using it. The puffiness under my eyes has now reduced and thankfully my eyes have gone back to normal.
Overall: Pricey. Doesn't live up to its claims. Caused puffiness.
Would I recommend? For the price of £25.00, hell no! I definitely wouldn't recommend this product to Ladies like myself, who do suffer with puffy eyes. Apparently after doing a bit of research, it seems that if you suffer do with puffiness under your eyes, certain creams can just make this problem worse. I guess its all about experiencing different brands and finding one that works.
My search for the wonder eye cream continues......
