Regular readers will remember that around 3 weeks ago, I was having a bit of skin trouble and headed off to boots to look for some cheap products to try and help clear my skin.
The products I ended up purchasing were Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash and Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Cleansing and Toning Lotion. I've been using both each morning and night now for a few weeks, so I thought I've let you know how I've got on with each prdocut.
I've been using both each morning and night now for a few weeks, so I thought I've let you know how I got on with them and what my thoughts are on the products.
Tea tree is a natural antibacterial agent and is know to help reduce spots and redness on the face, while Witch Hazel is naturally soothing herb which helps many skin problems. These too combined together, open and clear your pores for great skin.
Overall Im really pleased with both products, especially for the price. I love the way the Foam wash does what it says on the tin and foams up well...
It really does gives my wash a damn good wash. It leaves me with that squeaky clean and fresh feeling and tingles slightly after use. It removes all the grease and dirt that a facial wipes alone cannot get rid off and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft to the touch. The toner used afterwards helps to deeply cleanse and refresh the skin. There is no feeling of tightening and no greasy residue left behind after use, which I have found with some toners in the past. It makes my skin feel thoroughly refreshed after use and my moisturiser can be added straight away afterwards.
My skin has cleared up significantly over the weeks after using both products twice a day and up to now (fingers crossed) Ive had no more breakouts. I have got a spot at the moment, but that's my "monthly bitch spot" as I like to call it, because without fail when its that time of the month, a spot decided to rear its ugly head right on my chin/cheek. Don't think theres anything that will stop "the bitch" coming. I really do recommend both products, for a cheap and effective way of keeping skin clear and totally clean and refreshed. These products have really helped make a difference to my skin and within a week of using both product, near enough every spot I had, had disappeared and my skin has remained clear.

these look really good :)

You know what I love from this range? Their dual ended spot stick thingy, I've had mine for ages. It's like a gel and it's got one side for daytime use and one side for night time use. You just whack it on and it makes your spots vanish.
ReplyDeleteI used that foaming face wash for quite a while too and I really liked it :) x
ReplyDeleteI used to use that foaming wash too, I really like the smell - it smells CLEAN. does that make sense? haha!
ReplyDeleteLovely review as always chick, Eliza xx
dont you just hate it when the 'bitch spot' always happens to be
ReplyDeletea) inbetween your eyebrows
b) near your lip - so you look like you have a sti
c) or on the most random part of your cheek
grr!

ReplyDeleteI was looking at these last month, I totally passed them by though because I hate that foaming wash.. Or I should say Witch put me off with their foaming wash, yes it foamed but really didnt get my skin clean and it was always leaving behind make up. I wonder if Boots do a gel one instead?
ReplyDeleteI used Thursday Plantation tea tree oil, I find it works better than Superdrugs own brand and Australian Bodycare's one too.. Oddly!
Oh, and have a look at Clinique's Anti Blemish gel.. dab that on overnight and the spot will virtually be gone by morning. I bought it AGES ago and Im sure it was about £12, its quite a small bottle but it really does work, as does Clearasil Ultra treatment cream, but that works over a 2-3 days mostly, the clinique is quicker.
I have the worlds worst oily and spot prone skin, so I might have another look the next time Im in a bigger/better Boots!
Thanks :)
I will have to try these out, my skin is having a bad time atm.
