Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation.

After being so impressed with the first ever Bourjois foundation I bought, which was Healthy Mix I decided to try out another one of their foundations and purchased their 10 hour Sleep Effect Foundation.

Described as an Anti Fatigue foundation which claims to conceal all signs of fatigue thanks to a formula enriched with a high concentration of vitamins E, F, B5 and minerals. This appealed to me as I cannot remember the last time I had 10 hours sleep, Im lucky to get 6 or 7 hours so no doubt my complexion is always a bit dull looking, so if anything promises to perk my skin up a bit.. Im all for it.

The product itself comes in a peach shade bottle, with a pump applicator. Im a big fan of pump applicators as normally you can control the amount of product used and there is no waste. The only gripe I have with the packaging of this product though is that you can't see how much product you've used so have no idea when you're coming to the end of it.

The foundation itself is a lot more thinner and runnier that what Im used to, so the first time I used it I wasn't expecting it to be able to give me the coverage I needed.

I always apply my foundation with my fingers as I think I get a more more even coverage this way and find it easier to blend. It applies smooth and even and as it is quite runny, it doesn't set too fast so its easily blendable and also very buildable without looking cakey. With it being as runny as it is, Ive found this to be a positive as it feels nice and light on the skin and not heavy.

I definitely recommend using a powder on top as although it does set after a while I don't think it sets fully and I doubt you'd be able to get away with wearing no powder, as it does still remain a little shiny and a powder is needed just to set it just to just take away the shine.  I would describe it as a light to medium coverage but like I said its very buildable. It gives an even dewy finish and does indeed perk up my skin and give me a nice healthy looking glow. With a concealer underneath is covers all my imperfections and create a nice flawless finish. On the bottle it claims to give a fresh rested complexion and I completely agree. It definitely lifted my complexion and gave me a nice healthy looking glow and did indeed give me the coverage I like. I really am impressed with this foundation and have been using it constantly for a few weeks now. I will be re-purchasing without a doubt and think its a foundation that will have a place in my collection forever. Its ideal to perk up my complexion and make me look more alive.

If you like your foundation to feel light, even out your skin tone and give you a nice healthy looking glow then I certainly recommend giving this foundation a try. If you have particularly bad skin though, this may not give you the coverage you need.

  1. I'd love to be able to wear a lighter foundation but I'm so used to heavy coverage ones that the runnier ones don't feel enough :(

I like the sound of this one though, and I like the peachy bottle :) x

  5. Ooh, I might try this. I wonder what their range of colours is like. I'm probably the lightest shade, hope it's not too dark! Lovely review hun x

  6. I love this foundation! I agree about it not having enough coverage though, I used to use it last year but then my skin started breaking out (not from the foundation, health problems) and it just wouldn't do the job anymore. I started using Revlon's ColourStay and it is much better at covering up but doesn't give you that glow. My skin has improved a lot, so I might go back to using the Bourjois foundation, thanks for reminding me of how great it is!
