Monthly Favourites - April 2010

Im actually quite late with my April favourites, considering its May 9th. Oh well Ive still got a few items that I've been loving the past month, so I thought I'd share them.

St Moriz Self Tanning Mousse - I think this is the perfect fake tan for beginners like myself. Its not too dark, very natural looking and is a dream to apply. You really can't go wrong with it. Oh and its cheap!

Boots Original Formula Skin Tonic - I've only been using this for around a week or so, but I so love it! I use it morning and night, just before applying my moisturisers etc and it just feel so fresh and kind of wakes up my skin a little. I can't say Im too fond of the smell, but that wears off as soon as I start swiping the cotton pad over my face.

Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation - I bought this after falling in love with Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. So I thought I'd give another one of their foundations a try and boy... I really am liking this A LOT. Been wearing it daily without fail.

Boujois Healthy Mix Concealer - Another Bourjois product. This time a concealer. As previously mentioned I love the Healthy Mix Foundation, so I picked up the concealer too. Perfect concealer for covering my blemishes, under or over foundation.

Eyeko Tea Rose Nail Polish - I was really craving this after seeing so many blogger featuring it in a NOTD post. Im totally not disappointed. Its a truly gorgeous shade, a tad thick but that doesn't bother me really.

GOSH Darling - An old product thetas been rediscovered. I had totally forgot how much I love this Lipstick. You know how it is, we buy new Lipsticks regularly and our much loved old ones get neglected a bit. Im so glad Ive started using it again, its gorgeous on my Lips and I get quite a few compliments when wearing it.

MUA Eyeshadow - This is one of the shades I picked up from Superdrugs new MUA range. Gorgeous neutral colour, perfect as a base and blending colour. Fantastic quality for the price.

MAC 109 Brush - I only recently purchased this and it is a fantastic multi purpose brush. I use mine for contouring, but without a doubt it could be used for blusher or powder too.

MAC 217 Brush - How did I ever live without this brush!!! This is like heaven in a brush ha! Ooops... Sorry for not cleaning it before taking the pic!

Another favourite this month is the Body Shops Facial Buffer, its not shown in the picture above I had stupidly had it on my hand when taking the pic and didn't realise ha!! I put it on my hand to set up the other products and just forgot about it and left it there. I did nick a pic from google for you though :P

Love this little thing. I purchased it after seeing so many blog raves about it and Im not disappointed. Perfect for daily use and keep skin super soft.

Full reviews will follow for most of the products mentioned.

Have you tried any of the products mentioned?

  7. Hi :)

I bought that skin tonic the other week, I still haven't tried it yet though, I'm trying to get my skin right before I give it a go (then I cant blame my spots on it!).

Its funny you bought the eyeko polish.. I feel the opposite, I'm that sick of seeing reviews on them that I'm totally put off! lol

Is the facial buffer something you wash your face with?? Sorry for being dim, it looks like a powder applicator sponge to me? :0/

I also love the St Moriz, I have to really restrain myself everytime I spot the bottles, I bought loads of back ups in fear St Tropez would ban it or something! I still try and buy another one every time I see them, any more and I'll have to buy an extension to put them in!

  8. I have the MAC 217 and love it! It's my only MAC brush and have no clue how I did my eyes without it. I use it everyday without fail to blend. It's my baby! xx

  11. @ Nikki - Yeah the facial buffer is basically an exfoliating sponge. You use it with your normal face wash or if skins particualry dry thrn it can be used with an exfoliating wash too. You slip it on to your hand and gently scrub your face with it in circular motions. It really is fantastic and now I only need to use an exfoliating wash once a week now, where as it used to be 3 times.
