Losing weight with Green Coffee - Coffee Shape Review.

I am a big coffee lover. On average I drink about 4-5 cups a day. It was actually a lot more but Ive cut down over recent months. When I was given the opportunity to try Coffee Shape, a slimming green coffee  from Australia, my first thought was "lose weight while drinking something I love, sounds good to me!".

I was sent a box containing 14 sachets of coffee, one to be drunk every morning before breakfast.

So how does it supposedly aid weight loss?

"Coffee Shape is made from 100% green coffee beans. In their unroasted state, green coffee beans have natural weight loss properties, which are only present when treated properly in the extraction process. The extraction process activates the green coffee bean. The green coffee bean reduces the absorption of sugar from the food that you eat (by turning it into energy). Once it reduces the absorption of sugar from the food you eat, it will look around for stored fat to turn into energy for you to burn.In a nutshell, Green Coffee extract promotes weight loss by the conversion of fat into energy".
"Extensive and independent studies have shown that with just one cup of Coffee Shape per day, users can lose up to 5.5lbs (2.5kg) in a two week period without changing their diet. The research found that three quarters of Coffee Shape testers lost an average of 3.5lbs (1.6kg) within 14 days; and 80% lost an average of 4.45lbs (2.02kg) within 4 weeks.[1] In order to achieve optimum results, customers are encouraged to include Coffee Shape as a support to their overall lifestyle changes to aid weight loss"

It is stated that Coffee Shape is a tool to support your weight loss journey, not the solution. So by simply drinking one cup of coffee shape a day and making no change in your daily diet, you are not going to benefit from any weight loss. A slight change in diet is needed, eating regular healthy meals will aid your weight loss.

When I began my 2 week trial of Coffee Shape, I decided that I wasn't going to make many changes in my diet. As to be honest I do eat somewhat healthy anyway. One change I did make though was to cut out the sugar I would normally add to my coffee. Adding sugar to Coffee Shape would defeat the purpose I thought. I also decided I would have my Coffee Shape in the morning, then only one cup of normal coffee through out the day.

The coffee itself looks and taste just like any normal coffee.

I actually found it a lot more bearable to drink with no sugar, than I would find normal coffee. The thought of no sugar is my coffee normally makes me shudder! It has a nice pleasant taste and I enjoyed drinking them daily. Before I started trailing Coffee Shape I weighed myself, obviously to monitor my weight and see if after the 2 weeks period I had lost any. After my trial period, I weighed myself and was pleased to find I had actually lost 3lbs. Now I know that won't seem a lot to most people, but considering I changed no diet in anyway at all and only cut out sugar in my morning coffee with Coffee Shape, I was actually quite pleased. I now actually regret not making more changes in my diet, to see if I could have lost more weight. The only downside I found with this product is the price. Its not cheap at £25 for 14 sachets (two weeks' supply) but split that up daily, its about £1.79 per daily cup, which is what most people would spend on a coffee anyway, when at work etc.

  5. I might even just order some green coffee tablets... pure laziness - I don't even need to boil the water to make the coffee! x
