For the past couple of weeks I have been using the same make up products daily. I have literally just stuck with the same routine and and not reached for any other products. Ive been using the same foundation, same eye shadows, same blusher and same lipstick. This is mainly because the routine I have is quick and easy, just what I need at the moment with it being the school holidays.
Foundation - Revlon Colorstay. For me this is the longest lasting foundation I have. Its full coverage, without looking too heavy and doesn't budge all day long.
Concealer - Boujoise Healthy Mix for under my eyes. Fantastic concealer.
Powder - Ive been rotating between two powders. Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent Powder and ELF Translucent Powder, which is a new purchase. I have used Rimmel for many years now and have yet to find a powder that sets my make up like this does. Ive tried many others from high street to high end, but always come back to this. I decided to give ELF a try after hearing a few good things about it. It works well at keeping me shine free, but I'm not convinced its translucent. It seems to add a little bit of colour when I apply it.
Eye shadows - MAC Vanilla all over my entire lid, top and bottom. MAC Patina on my lid and just above my crease. (Vanilla and Patina are hiding inside my palette). The dark brown shade from my Suqqu quad in my crease.
Macara - Rimmel Sexy Curves to grab the curl of my eyelashes and hold it. Lancome Hypnose to add some volume.
Bronzers/Blusher - MAC Harmony lightly applied over my whole face with a Kabuki, just to add a bit of colour. Boots 17 Instant Glow Bronzer to contour, Benefit Coralista on my cheeks.
Lips - MAC Myth
I think this week Im due for a change. Do you stick to the same products and the same look for a while? or change products and looks quite frequently?
I change my colors and products quite frequently because I like mixing it up.
ReplyDeleteWhen I wear make up, I change it everytime, I barely wear the same foundation two days in a row and this goes the same with blusher, lipstick etc.. =). I like change and trying different things out, i think i get bored way too easily =P.

ReplyDeleteI spotted MAC Harmony from a mile off! it's the best MAC product I've ever used. I love how it is such a matte colour with no orange, it's just fab! xx

ReplyDeleteFantastic post! Today I have been barefaced (inward scream). The holidays make it tricky to have time to be creative. I've been working out of a smaller bag for quick looks for a while now. On my train journeys my Suqqu has been a go to palette. I love the brush they have in the palettes.

@ ModestyBrown - Yep hunny, you know how is it when its the holidays. Normally when Antons in school and can have a little play with make up when Harvey has his morning nap, but not now its the holidays. Anton has to come upstairs with me and annoy me while Im doing my face, or make so much noise that he wakes Harvey, so this has been my bag of products for the last week maybe 2 weeks.

I wondered if you were like me and had to have a special stash of brushes in there too. The brushes are the tricky things for me, as soon as the boys spot them they want to play with them!

Oh no... have to keep my brushes out of reac, they all stay in their vase otherwise Harvey grabs them and strats to comb his hair with them! haha.
