I am a huge fan of Liz Earle's Cult Classic
Cleanse and Polish. It removes my make up with ease and leaves my skin looking and feeling gorgeous. However, its not a cleanser I can use for more than a few days in a row, as it does seem to cause dry patches on my cheeks when used continuously every night.
I have been trialing a few cream cleansers over the past months, mainly trying to find one that's similar to Cleanse and Polish but doesn't dry out my skin. Although Ive been happy with the cleansers Ive tried, none have been as gentle as Cleanse and Polish. Some have been fantastic at removing my make up, but have irritated my eyes slightly, or not left my skin feeling as soft and polished. I decided to give
Soap & Glories The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser a try after reading a few rave reviews online.
Priced at £9.00 and available at
Boots, the product comes in a 100ml squeezy tube and has a muslin cloth included. Its soft and creamy to use, feels really nice when applied on the skin and massages in easily to break up all of my make up, dirt and oil. Its very gentle to use and causes no discomfort or irritation on my eye area. It really does do a fantastic job of washing away a whole days worth of make up and grime, leaving my skin feeling soft and thoroughly cleansed. I do have a lot of cleansers and rotate between them all, depending on how my skin is. The difference for me between this product and Cleanse and Polish, is that I can use this product continuously for a number of days without it drying out my skin, which would occur after using Cleanse and Polish for a number of consecutive days.
Although I do love Liz Earle's Clean and Polish, this is a much cheaper alternative for me. It performs just as well, contains near enough the same ingredients and a product I can use more frequently without it drying my skin out. It also a lot easier to purchase, with it being available at Boots nationwide.
