Creating Volume was never easier - Sebastian Volupte range.

Here I am again... putting more volumizing hair care products to the test. We all want volume in our hair though, right? full voluptuous volume. I know I do which is generally why I am always using volumizing hair products. I want natural looking volume, don't want to be backcombing my hair trying to achieve some volume, I want it to look soft and healthy and move naturally. A lot of volumizing products can tend to leave hair looking stiff and course. I have long hair as well and the volume doesn't tend to last and I end up limp hair after a few hours.

The Volupte range from Sebastian offers three products, a Shampoo, Conditioner and a leave in spray- gel which all promise to achieve 75% more volume when all 3 products are used together. High Impact Volume meets softness.

The Volupt Shampoo and Conditioner consist of revolutionary cushioning particles that will help build volume and enhance your style by using weightless micro-lite technology. The cushion particle technology found in these products works by binding two layers of micro-particles together on the hairs surface. This has the effect of raising the cuticles to create masses of volume and giving an elusive stronger hold.

The shampoo has a really nice scent and the amount of lather it produces is fantastic. I like a shampoo that lathers up a lot, as I know then that my hairs had a good thorough clean. The conditioner again has a really nice scent and rinses out easily. The Gel Spray is designed to use before blow drying to add even more volume. I found it to be non sticky and it applies evenly to my roots. After blow drying is where the results come in, my hair has very noticable volume, I have honestly never achieved such volume just after blow drying. These three products work together on my fine, limp, flyaway hair and add amazing volume along with making my hair soft, healthy looking and with a gorgeous shine. It seriously does not look like any products have been used.

I have also just used the shampoo and conditioner alone to see how they faired up without the Gel Spray. Again I was left with gorgeous, silky shine hair and it was no near near as flat and lifeless as it normally is after washing. I didn't achieve as much volume as I did when using the Gel Spray, but there was definitely noticable volume.

Overall the Volupe range offer 3 fantastic products to turn dull lifeless hair into bouncy, full, volumized hair.

E45 Endless Moisture Radiance.

Looking for a body lotion that keeps you moisturised all day long and also gives you that perfect healthy looking summer glow? Look no further because E45 Endless Moisture Radiance does it all!

Endless moisture radiance is a new body moisturiser from E45. It claims to be lightweight, easily absorbed and moisture replenishing, and also offers subtle shimmer perfect for the summer months.

I've always been a fan of E45 cream. Its a trusted and reliable, multi purpose product suitable for the whole family.  So when I heard about their new body lotion, I was eager to give it a try. As I fake tan, moisturising my body is part of my daily routine, it never used to be until I started fake tanning. I used to be quite lazy when it came to moisturising my body and would only do it a couple of times a week, now I moisturise daily though. Endless moisture radiance not only keeps my body totally moisturised all day long, it also compliments my tan so well. It has tiny gold and silver glitter shimmer which just adds the perfect touch to my tan. Quick a few of my friend has complimented me on my skin lately, especially when they notice my subtle sparkle. I also love the fact that its so easily absorbed and leaves no greasy or sticky residue on my skin after use.

For me this is the perfect summer body lotion. If you like your skin to be soft and silky all day long and also like a little shimmer and sparkle, then this is the product for you.

E45 Endless Moisture Radiance can be purchased at Boots priced at £4.49.

Sophisticated Nails.

Eyeko Posh Polish.

This is a truly sophisticated polish. The colour is absolutely gorgeous. I did actually think it would be similar to OPI's "You don't know Jacques" but the two are actually quite different. You don't know Jacques is a lot darker, definitely a more muddy brown, while Posh Polish is more along the "greige" theme. Application was perfect, not as thick as the other Eyeko Polish I have which is Tea Rose. Opaque in 2 coats.

Can't help but wonder if this is what Chanel Particuliere looks like.

Update on blog sale Items.

Just a quick not to the Ladies who bought something from my blog sale. I passed the parcels onto my dad on Thursday, who was supposed to post them for me, but he left them in his bloody glove box of his car and forgot to tell me until yesterday! Don't worry though I went mad at him. They will be posted this morning, after Ive dropped Anton off at school. Sorry about the delay Ladies.

A few new polishes.

On Wednesday night I was doing my usual thing of catching up on blogs, when I saw a post on NailPolishUK's blog about the Models Own offer. Everytime England wins a match in the World Cup, they are offering 25% discount and free P&P. I was on it like a fly on shit... straight over to Models Own and placed my order. Just under £13 for 5 polishes. Normal price would have been £25 plus P&P.

Now I just need to decided which to wear first!

Lets talk Underwear!

Yep... Im getting a little bit personal today and I want to know all about your smalls!

Are you a strictly matching girl? Underwear always matching?

Or are you a bit of both? you have matching sets, but sometimes mismatch?

Whats led me to ask this, is my shopping trip the other day with 2 friends. While out, me and friend No.1 decided to pick up some knickers in Topshop, you know... where they do 3 pairs for £9. Friend No.2 was mortified! "Do you have matching bras to wear with them?" was her question. "Well erm... no. But I have bras that I can colour co-ordinate with them" was my response. She was so not impressed and began to go on about how her underwear is always matching sets. She would not dream of wearing underwear that didn't match. I could see her point, I do love a nice underwear set, but I also have plenty of single bras and knickers that I love to wear too, so Im not always matching. I match in form of colour. I wouldn't wear a totally black bra with white knickers, but I'd wear a black and white bra with white knickers. You get my drift?

So what about you Ladies, do you always match?

Clinique Liquid Facial Soap - Mild.

When it comes to washing my face, Ive always preferred a foaming face wash or good old soap and water compared to cream cleansers etc. I have tried cream cleansers and oil cleanser in the past, but they are just not for me. I never feel like my face is totally clean and free of every last bit of make up.

A couple of months ago my skin became quite dry, so along with changing my moisturiser I decided to try a new face wash too. I wanted something simple and non drying so I opted for Clinique's Liquid Soap in Mild. The Mild version is for people with dry/combination skin. Which suits me perfectly as I do suffer with slight dry patches but I still have an oily Tzone. There is also an Extra Mild version, aimed at people with very dry skin.

Image taken before use of the product

The product comes in a 200ml bottle, with a pump dispenser and retails at £13. Personally I think this is excellent valuer for money, as only one pump is needed to wash my entire face and neck, so without a doubt its going to last me a while.

The directions for use are to basically lather it up, massage thoroughly into the skin and then rinse off. Upon first use I have to say I was a bit disappointed, because it didn't lather up as much as I would have liked it too. I guess I was expecting it to me more like a foam cleanser. I solved this problem though when I started to use it with my Body Shop Facial Buffer. This really does make it lather up and gives my face a damn good clean. Although its described as being frrangrace free I do get a hint of some fragrance, like a faint tee tree scent. Its very gentle on the skin and after use it leaves my skin soft and tingling clean and removed any excess oil. No tightness, just soft smooth clean skin. I haven't experienced any dry patches while using this and overall it improves my skin tone and makes it look and feel a lot more even. I'd describe it as a "back to basics" product. A liquid version of plain old soap and water, which is a routine I used for years and worked well for me.

Overall Its a really nice product and like I said previously, excellent value for money. No complaints here. Will I repurchase? well its very rare that I do re-purchase a product, as theres always something else I want to try, but if other products end up failing, I will definitely go back to Clinique's Liquid Soap, as its a nice reliable product.

Nude Lipstick Line up.

Im sure most of you are aware of my love for Nude Lipsticks. Basically Im not very adventurous when it comes to my make up, scared of venturing out of my comfort zone I guess. I tend to stick to various shades of smokey eyes and nude lips. Boring I know!

I saw a post a while ago on Marcias blog, where she showcased her Nude Lipsticks. I thought I'd do the same so I went through my collection and picked out all my nudes.

From L to R:

- Revlon Colourburst Soft Nude
- Inglot No. 172
- Inglot No. 256
- MAC Creme D'Nude
- MAC Close to real
- MAC Myth
- MAC Fleshpot
- Ilammasqua Agony
- Miners Barely Buff
- Barry M 101
- Revlon Nude Attitude
- Rimmel Nude Delight
- MAC Peachstock
- Estee Lauder Vanilla Truffle
- Inglot Slimline Gel No.50
- ELF Natural Nympth (I forgot to add it ha!)
There was actually a few others which I was debating about adding to the line up, MAC Pretty please, YSL Nude Beige etc, as someone people do class them as nudes, but I decided to stick to Beige/Pink toned Nudes.

Any recommendations for more to add to my collection Ladies?

Big Sexy Hair Products.

Big Sexy Hair is one of the leading lines from the company Sexy Hair founded by hairstylist and business visionary Michael O'Rourke.

"Sexy Hair offers seven hair care lines to address the needs of every hair type, texture, length and lifestyle: Big Sexy Hair®, Curly Sexy Hair®, Healthy Sexy Hair®, Short Sexy Hair®, Silky Sexy Hair®, Straight Sexy Hair® and Sexy Hair Organics. Its nearly 70 solution-oriented products do exactly what their names say and feature eye-catching packaging that’s instantly recognized all over the world"
I have very long hair but it seriously lacks volume. Its very fine and volume is something I am always trying to create with my hair and most of the time I ending up failing! I was sent three mini products from the Big Sexy Hair line to try out and give my thoughts on. Voloumizing Dry Shampoo, Spray and Play Volumizing Hairspray and Powder Play Volumizing and Texturizing Powder.

Volumizing Dry Shampoo -

A mineral and clay based dry shampoo which promises to create volume as it absorbs impurities, excess oil and product build-up. Ive always been a fan of dry Shampoo. I love the fact is easy and convenient and keep my hair looking fresh in between washes. The promises of added volume with this product is really what caught my eye though. I always have a can of dry shampoo handy and does its job well for me and leaves my hair feeling cleaner and looking less greasy, although Ive never experienced any added volume with dry shampoos I have tried in the past, so I was interested to see if this product lived up to its claim.

I normally wash my hair every couple of days. Basically Im not a fan of washing my hair, plus its totally unmanageable if washed too frequently. After 2 days of my hair being washed I decided to try out the Dry Shampoo. The product itself is colourless, so I wasn't left with ashy looking hair after using it and its also odourless, which surprised me and if Im honest kind of disappointed me at the same time. I do like dry shampoo's to have a nice scent to them, as I cannot stand my hair smelling dirty. It completly took away and oil that was apparent in my hair and made it look and feel very clean. The big question is though, did it add volume? Im happy to say it sure did. It lifted my hair from the roots and gave it a much more fuller appearance and added some body which I was lacking before using the product. Just a shame it has no sexy scent to match its name though, but I suppose I did end up with some sexy volume!

Spray and Stay Volumizing Hairspray.

Hairspray is a product I use daily, whether Im wearing my hair up or down. I like a nice firm flexible hold, without it feeling sticky and looking like wire. I found this product to be fantastic. Not only does it hold my hair completly through out the day when tied it, it also adds a nice healthy looking shine. When wearing my hair down, I found its best to tip my head upside down and apply directly to my roots, to add volume. It combs out easily, without leaving my hair looking dull and flaky and washes out just as easily. I will definitely be re-purchasing!

Powder Play Volumizing and Texturizing Powder

This a new product added to the Big Sexy Hair range. Designed to create "maximum fullness, dimension and texture INSTANTLY on dry hair. The fastest, easiest way to get Big Sexy Hair 13 in seconds. Powers up the volume in every hair type with no product feel. Weightless, odorless and colorless on hair". So does it do what it claims it will do? The first time I used this, I followed the instruction on the can and sprinkled the powder onto my roots for lift and through my hair to try and Croat some fullness. As the product is colourless I was left with none of it visible once I had rubbed it all in. It took my flat limp hair and added a lot more texture and fullness, I was actually quite surprised, as Ive never tried a product like this before.

Overall Im really pleased with the 3 products I was sent and I plan to look into the brand a lot further. I also like the fact that the products can be bought in mini versions, perfect for travelling and going to festivals etc.

Have you tried any products from Sexy Hair?

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils - Bourbon and Stash.

For me UD 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencils are simply the best Eye Pencils I have ever tried. They are soft and creamy, glide onto my upper eyelid and lower lash line with ease, no pulling or tugging and stays put the whole day long, with no smudging or fading.

After being so pleased with the first Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil I bought which was Zero, I recently added two more to my collection. Bourbon and Stash.

Bourbon is a medium brown shade with tiny gold flecks. The tiny golden flecks add a little sparkle to my eye make up and really brings out the blue in my eyes. A perfect shade for when I've created a brown smokey eye look, but want to add a little subtle sparkle.

Stash is not a colour I would normally go for, but Im really quite surprised at how pretty it is and how it adds something a little different to my eye make up. Its a dark green/gold olive shade and really is gorgeous. It makes a really nice change from my usual colours of brown or black. I can imagine this colour to look stunning on someone with brown eyes.

The only problem I find with Urban Decays 24/7's is that they need sharpening constantly, due to them being so soft and creamy. I have heard that people work through them quite fast, but Ive had my black one for quite a few months now and there is still plenty of life left.

Do you have any UD 24/7 liners? any recommendations for another shade to add?

A bit of randomness!

Its Sunday, hate Sundays. They depress me. I've diagnosed myself with having Sunday Syndrome. I never have any motivation to do anything on Sunday. Not even shopping! I hate how Sundays have a time limit, everything shut by 4pm or something, hate that.

Talking about shopping, how cute is my new little bargain purse I bought yesterday.

£6 from Next and I love it. It that gorgeous pink/purple colour that Im loving on my nails right now. I decided I needed a new purse for summer as my current purse.....

is just so boring and dull. I do love it, but its hardly summer material, its more suitable for winter me thinks.

I also decided to pick myself up a new notebook yesterday. My old one is looking a bit full and scruffy, so I spotted this cute little Winnie the Poo one in Tesco and Gareth bought it me.

Im lost without a notebook. I write everything down, from appointments, to products I see on other blogs, that need adding to my wish list. I also doodle a lot, I still think Im 14 sometimes and go into a daze about Gareth and end up drawing little love hearts, Ive even been known to write Jo Loves Gareth *feels embarrassed* maybe one day I'll act like Im 29 eh ha!

Ive decided I need a konad set in my life. Im forever looking at nail blogs lately and love the designs people come up with using konad. I particularly like the simple yet elegant looking designs. Although Im not sure if the 3rd picture is actually Konad, and well it doesn't look simple ha!

Images taken from weheartit.com and google images.

I'll probably be no good at Konad at all! but I want to give it a whirl.

While Im here, I just have to show you my most favourite pictures ever!

Anton decided Harvey needed jazzing up while he was in the bath haha... so he made him an outfit!

Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday Ladies,

Much love...

How pretty are these.....

..... Tampons! Yep Tampons. Moxie Applicator Tampons.

Im probably the last woman ever to discover these pretty little tampons (I never ever thought I'd say pretty and tampons in the same sentence ha!) I spotted them while out in Asda earlier and just had to have them. It is actually "that time of the month" so I didn't just buy them for the pretty packaging *coughs* the packaging is adorable though. So much prettier that the boring Tampax blue Packaging, which would never see the light of day sitting on my dressing table.

I know which I prefer!

What also attracted me to them, is their purse worthy tin that is enclosed. I hate taking tampons out with me in my bag, I always have a fear that'll I reach in my bag looking for something, grab it and a tampon will fly out too. No need to worry now though, with my cute little tin to put them in.

Pretty eh?

Have you ever tried any Moxie products? I do believe they also do a range of panty liners and pads too.

A new product for Acne Suffers - help: clear skin.

Acne is a very common skin problem, with consequences that go beyond simply physical. From acne pimples to more severe forms like cystic acne, breakouts can affect a person's confidence, sense of well-being and ability to go out and socialise.

Acne usually starts during puberty between the ages of 12 and 14, when increased levels of the male-type sex hormones androgens stimulate the sebaceous glands to increase production of sebum. While teen acne is very common, people of all ages can get acne. At an estimate, acne affects 25 percent of men and 50 percent of women at sometime in their adult lives. People can develop acne, or have a recurrence of acne, in their 30s, 40s and beyond.

help: clear skin is a new product for acne sufferers from a company called Works with Water Neutraceuticals. It’s a 100% natural food supplement treatment that is clinically proven to help clear acne in 6 weeks. An effective alternative to antibiotics and all the harsh acne treatments out there.

help: clear skin uses the power of nature and science to tackle the problem of acne. This innovative nutraceutical product is designed to bridge the gap between nutrition and pharmaceutical drugs, incorporating the best of both worlds: natural ingredients with clinically proven health benefits.

help: clear skin contains 100% natural ingredients including Praventin – a bioactive protein extracted from milk using advanced scientific methods – that has been proven to deliver results after a minimum period of six weeks. All health claims are supported by clinical studies.
help: clear skin is water-soluble, allowing it to dissolve in water, other non-carbonated beverages and soft foods while retaining its full effectiveness. It won’t alter the taste or texture of your drink or food. Take a sachet of help: clear skin twice a day – just add it to your favourite drink or soft food - for a minimum of six weeks for best possible results.

help: clear skin is available from Asda, Tesco, Waitrose and Holland & Barrett stores and online at www.workswithwater.co.uk, priced at £14.79 and £49.99 for a week’s or month’s supply (month’s supply only available via website). More information about the product can be found online at the Works with Water website.

Case studies can also be found on the website showing the results people have had with the product.
