Teeth whitening products. - Recommendations needed!

Teeth are the first thing I notice about a person. Some notice eyes first, I notice teeth first. Sadly I don't have perfect teeth. Don't get me wrong, they are all straight and Ive still got a mouth full ha but I smoke and I drink a lot of coffee, both of which do stain the teeth. Now mine are not terribly stained and are not discoloured, but I would like them whiter. I think everyone would, wouldn't they?

Ideally I would love my teeth whitened professionally, sadly though that's never going to happen as I just don't have that kind of money. Ive tried a few teeth whitening treatments in the past, and also use a whitening toothpaste regularly, which does help to keep stains from smoking and drinking coffee at bay. However Im interested in trying something a bit more effective. So I was wondering if you Ladies have any recommendations for me? Maybe something you've tried that works? or a product you've heard good thinks about. Just let me know in the comments below please Ladies.

Many thanks,

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Moisturiser

When it comes to moisturiser I wish I could just use one all year round and be happy, but I can't. Im a beauty addict, Im constantly testing and trying moisturisers out. I like to swap and change frequently. If I wasn't like this though and could happily use the same products for years, like my mother, then Clinique's Moisture Surge could very well be my holy grail moisturiser.

Ive been reaching for Moisture Surge a hell of a lot lately. The weathers getting colder Ive been experiencing a few dry patches, plus Ive been testing a whole lot of different cleansers lately, trying to find my perfect one, some of which have been drying my skin out. When my skin starts playing up, I always think its safe to turn to something that you know and trust.

Moisture surge is designed to provide skin with 24 hour moisture, with the website claiming the following:

"Light, comfortable cream/gel plumps skin with hydration for a full 24 hours. Fine lines, flakiness and tightness are washed away. In their place-a sense of supple, firm, vibrant well-being, even through shifts in humidity. One 'drink' and skin looks and feels happier, healthier".

I like my moisturisers to be light and absorbs fast, ready for application of make up. I cannot stand a greasy heavy film on my face and don't like my face to feel like it has moisturiser on the surface, I just like it to feel soft and supple, look hydrated and be a perfect base for my make up.

Moisture Surge ticks all these boxes with ease! The texture is described as a gel/cream and no other moisturiser soaks into my skin as much as this does. It does literally drink it up. It so cooling to apply and instantly makes my face feel refreshed It leaves it soft and smooth to the touch a minute after application and it is the perfect base for make up. My make up also seems to last a lot longer and still looks pretty fresh by the end of the day. Its never aggravates existing blemishes/spots when my skins playing up, which some moisturisers can do. Its definitely holy grail material for me. Its a reliable product that just perks my skin up. Now I finally have a full size jar (only ever had a sample in the past) I think its a moisturiser I will constantly have on hand.

Its just a shame I cannot stop myself trying buying and trying other products eh! But then I wouldn't be here either, providing you lovely lot with so many reviews!

A more in depth review of this fantastic product can be found HERE on the lovelyYinkas blog.

Susan Posnick Cosmetics.

Susan Posnick is a professional make up artist. Her line of cosmetics was developed after Susan was diagnosed with Skin Cancer. Susan wanted to develop a product with substantial sun protection that would not feel heavy or melt off in the heat. Beginning with ColorFlo Mineral Foundation, Susan has created a complete line of practical beauty - including multi-purpose face, lip, and eye products.

To be honest I haven't read many reviews on the brand or seen it featured a lot within the beauty community, so I was quite excited to receive a couple of products to play with and review.

I was sent a ColorMe Blush in the shade Carmelia, a gorgeous pinky/peach and a ColorEssential Lipstick in the shade Dubai, a stunning nude. Both packaged beautifully.

The ColorMe Blush is described as "a delightfully easy-to-apply face color for cheeks, eyes, and anywhere else you desire lush blush". Its Anti-bacterial, sweat proof, water resistant and enriched with Vitamins A and E. As it comes in a self dispensing pot with a small powder puff attached and a mirror on the lid, its ideal for travelling or carrying around day to day.

The powder puff makes this product so easy to use. I literally just dab it onto the apples of my cheeks and work it up. Carmelia is the perfect colour for me. I cannot resist pinky/peach blushers. I will warn you though, it does contain a bit of shimmer and sparkle, many people don't like that, but I personally love a bit of shimmer and sparkle. The pigmentation is fantastic and once this is on it does not budge. Its just perfect for taking out in my bag on a night out, no need for a separate brush, it so easy to apply a top up.

The ColorEssential Lipstick is packaged in a sleek metallic case, which also features a magnetic closure to keep the cap secure. Just like the blusher, the Lipstick is packed with vitamins and minerals, Paracress which  re-hydrates the lips and helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and its also enhanced with Olive Oil. There are five gorgeous shades to choose from, all of which are named after Cities around the world.

Dubai is classed as the nude of the bunch. Although its a bit darker than nudes I normally wear, Its a gorgeous "my lips but better" shade. Its extremely soft and creamy and is in fact one of the best formulas of Lipstick Ive come across. Its long lasting, non drying and is ju8st perfect for someone who suffers with dry lips.

Overall I am really pleased with both products I was sent and definitely plan to explore the brand further.

Susan Posnick is available from salons and clinics nationwide and also online at http://www.skinbrands.co.uk/.  ColorMe is £21 and ColorEssential is £18.

A full list of stockists can be found here.

Have you tried any products from Susan Posnick?

estee lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex. Before and after pics included.

I was sent a sample of Estee Lauders New Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex (ANRE) a few weeks ago for review. Although I do think this product is aimed at more older women than myself (Im 29), I have a lot of sun damage on my eyes, through using the sunbed in my younger years. My eyelids have aged, they sag and I have visible wrinkles.

I have used numerous products over time to try and gain some firmness back into my lids and reduce the appearance of the wrinkles. Some have improved my lids a little, some shown no improvement at all.

Inspired by groundbreaking DNA research ANRE claims to achieve a reduction in the look of every key sign of ageing around your eyes - fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, dryness, puffiness and uneven skin tone. It also claims to keep the entire eye area looking fresher, rested and revitalized.

The product itself comes in a small 15ml pot. Initially when I took it out of the box, I thought "how the hell am I going to get my finger in that" until I noticed the little applicator that comes with the product.

Directions for use are simple, as with most eye care products. Dip the applicator into the product and dot it around the eye area. Finish off by patting around the eye area so the product is fully absorbed. The first few times I used this, I did feel a slight tingling and burning sensation. Even though this did wear off after a few minutes, it worried me slightly as I didn't know if maybe it was too rich for me and how my eyes were going to react. After doing a bit of research on the net, I found that this is pretty normal and most women encountered the same.

The product absorbed really well into the skin and is feels really nice to apply. It has a nice texture which is basically like a serum. After a few days of using ANRE I began to notice how incredibly soft and smooth my whole eye area felt. My under eyes felt literally baby soft, no other product has made my under eye feel so soft. After a week or two I started to notice my eye area getting a little firmer too. The bags under my eyes were not looking so apparent and they looked a lot more plumped. What Im  really pleased with though is the results Im having on my upper lids, my most problem area. Im not going to say Ive noticed a huge difference in the space of time Ive been using it because I haven't but Ive definitely noticed some difference. Bearing in mind I still have plenty of product left as only a tiny amount is needed, Im confident that the more I use it the more I will see positive results.

I do have some before and after pictures. Now to you, the difference may not be so apparent, but for me who studies my eye area every single day ha, I can definitely see a difference.

My lids seem to be lifting slightly each day and become a lot firmer. Like I said earlier I am confident I will carry on to see more positive results.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Recovery Complex is priced at £35.00 and can be purchased direct from the Estee Lauder website.

Revlon Suede Rhapsody Autumn Winter 2010 Matte Nail Polishes.

I really am loving Matte nails lately, In fact Im probably obsessed with them. When Revlon's Autumn Winter Sued Rhapsody Collection was released and I saw the collection contained two Matte Nail Polishes, I knew they were right up my street!

Both shades are just perfect for Autumn and Winter and seem to scream Christmas at me.

Emerald City and Ruby Ribbon.

Ruby Ribbon is an intense Ruby Red Matte Suede with slight shimmer. A very sophisticated and classic colour.

Emerald Green is described perfectly well by its name. A gorgeous Emerald Green. Looking at it in the bottle, I was a bit unsure how I would feel about it on my nails, but I absolutely love it! Its different, and its noticeable.

Application was perfect. As with all matte polishes, they both dried exceptionally fast, just perfect for when Im rushing. Admittedly Emerald Green applied a bit more easier than Ruby Ribbon and only needed two coats, while I applied three with Ruby Ribbon. I wouldn't say these polish are 100% matte, the slight shimmer stops them from being too matte. They do lean more towards Suede. They are both gorgeous though and definitely worth a look at. Both these polishes will get a lot of wear from me over the coming months.

Avilable from Boots and Superdrug priced at £6.29

Carolina Herrera 212 VIP

This is without a doubt the best perfume bottle in my collection. It just oozes glamour and class. Solid gold and heavy to boot, there's nothing cheap and tacky about the packaging of this perfume.

The perfume is surrounded by slogans such as "Are you on the list?" and "This is a private party", this is a perfume for stylish women who like to get noticed and be the centre of attention.

212 VIP was created by by the perfumer Alberto Morillas and was launched this month, September 2010. It is “inspired by New York’s young creative people”. Notes include passion fruit, rum, musk, gardenia, tonka bean and vanilla.

The best way for me to describe this scent is to say that it reminds me of a less sweeter, Victor & Rolf Flowerbomb. Its scented along the same lines, but not as intense as Flowerbomb. Its ultra feminine, slightly floral but with a sexy edge and a lingering alluring musk which I love in perfumes. It could be worn day or night as its not so intense where I would only wear it as a night time scent. It makes me feel sophisticated and classy when wearing it. The alluring musk still adds a little something to it though, to be classed as a sexy fragrance. Just picking up the bottle to use it makes me feels pretty glamorous too. If you like scents like Flowerbomb, then I'd say have a sniff of 212 VIP and see how it compares.

Prices start from £31.00 for 30ml

Rodial Boob Job Update.

How time flies eh! Its actually been 56 days since I started using Rodial Boob job. So its time to let you ladies know what I think and if I have infact got bigger boobs!  How do I know its been 56 days? well I didn't count the days if that's what you're wondering ha. I set a reminder in my phone to let me know when my days were up.

Before I start, I would encourage people who didn't mange to read my previous posts on this product to head over to the Rodial website and get yourself familiar with the product and its claims. I wont be including any information about the product on this post, as Ive previously posted product information. Today's post is simply the update.

Now I have to be totally honest here and admit that it took me a few weeks to actually get into the habit of applying a cream solely on my boobs. I do apply body moisturiser every morning and night after showering, but it was remembering to apply another cream that I kept forgetting. After around 2-3 weeks though, I was firmly in the routine of applying my "boob cream".

The cream itself is night and light and has a nice pleasant fragrance to it. It absorbs quite fast meaning I can put my bra on soon afterwards without worrying about the cream transferring onto my bra and not actually absorbing into my boobs.

After around a 4 weeks of using is when I started to notice the difference, my boobs became a lot firmer and my bras are actually feeling a bit tighter. They appear to be lifted and a lot more full. Seen as I missed around 3 weeks of constant use at the beginning of my trail, I decided not to have myself measured just yet. As I want to continue using the product for say another month before having my boobs measured.

Am I happy so far? Actually I am. There's not a huge difference, obviously my boobs haven't shot up in size where I look like I have infact had a boob job. But we have to be realistic here, its not a product that's intended to give you a full on boob job. If this was the case, women wouldn't be forking out on 3 grand for boob jobs, they'd simply be purchasing Rodial. I think its intended to work with what you've got and increase firmness and fill out the breast. Therefore leading to an increase in cup size.

I will be updating in around another month, when I take myself off to get measured.

If you have any questions feel free to comment below and I will try my best to answer your queries.

Friday Ramble.

Im poorly :( Ive got tonsillitis.

The inside of my mouth currently looks like this:

I was actually going to put up some more graphic pictures. But then I thought you'd all hate me for making you sick. It really doesn't look nice down the back of my throat.

Im a bitch when Im poorly and I make sure everyone knows about it. I moan all day long and just mope around feeling sorry for myself. It has its benefits though, Gareth always buys me a "treat" to cheer me up when Im poorly. Normally some form of make up. Hes a keeper.

I had loads of posts planned for this weekend too, but to be honest Ladies I doubt Im gonna get any up. Ive got 2 new nude lippies to show you, a gorgeous mineral blusher, a couple more perfume reviews (think my perfume obsession is getting out of hand), a review of Xen Tan and quite a few skin care reviews. Think they will all have to wait for a few days though. Im just going to have a lazy weekend and moan.

Oh before I go, Ive just got to show you this pic I came across while searching for pictures to represent feeling poorly.

No idea what that's all about.

I think my love for beauty products is rubbing off on my son!

No, hes not wearing my make up and using my skin care products ha. But seriously whenever he gets old enough to have a girlfriend, shes going to have to be nothing but perfect. He notices every little thing on women.

"Mum, look at her make up"

"Mum, have you seen how shes applied her eye shadow"

"Eeeew that lipstick really doesn't suit her"

"OMG.. look at her fake tan, shes orange and has lines on her neck"

"Wow, check her eyebrows mum, they're well bushy"

His best one has got to be about my under arm hair. I shave it every bloody night, but if I miss a day and he catches site of my armpits (I wear a lot of vest tops round the house) hes sure to let me know what he thinks. "Mummmmmm have you not shaved today, they look hairy, eew that's disgusting"

His future girlfriends are so gonna have their work cut out with him, and Im sure as hell going to get the blame!

I think I'll only start to worry though, when he brings a 9 year old home to me looking like this..

Famous by Sue Moxley Eyeshadow Palettes.

When it comes to eye shadows, I like palettes. In fact I love palettes. I do have plenty of single eye shadows, but you simply cannot beat a good palette with a choice of colours in it that work well together. They save space and they are quick and easy to use. I often tend to forget about the single eye shadows that I have, they are all housed in my storage together and It can be a pain rooting through trying to find the one I want. Apart from my Estee Lauder ones that is. They are a permanent fixture in my every day make up bag.

The two newest palettes to be added to my growing collection are The Eye collections from Make up Artist Sue Moxley's brand, Famous.

L to R - Smokey Plum, Must Have.

Smokey Plum -

Must Have -

I am really impressed by these shadows. They are silky smooth and very well pigmented. They apply beautifully and are very easy to blend. The price is also a bonus, with them costing only £9.00. For 4 shadows I definitely class that as a bargain! £2.25 a shadow! As you can see from the swatches above, all the shadows go really nice together. My favourite of the two palettes is Must Have. Its perfect for when Im in a rush and have literally 10 minutes to get ready. Quick application of the lighter brown, over my lid and just above my crease, then the darker applied deeply in the crease. Perfect!

If you haven't tried one of the Famous palettes, I'd recommend having a few swatches next time you're in Superdrug, where the range is stocked.

If you have tried anything from the range, drop me a comment below and let me know your thoughts. I'm keen for some recommendations because Im really pleased so far!
