Trilogy Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

I think you all know by now that Im obsessed with the whole aging process and will do anything to to try and prevent them lines and wrinkles for as long as possible! I think its never too early to start taking preventative measures to looking after your skin. With it also being winter now, my skin tends to get dry if its not fed properly, so Ive been steering twoard products that help to lock in moisture in my skin, while always providing me with some anti aging benefits.

When I read that Trilogy's Organic Rosehip Oil was recently named the 'best organic anti-ager' in the November publication of Harper's Bazaar, I was eager to give the product a try. After doing a bit more research I found out that  the product has actually won countless awards and is somewhat of a beauty classic.

Rosehip oil is said to do wonders for the skin and Trilogy believes their 100% pure Rosehip Oil to be the best ingredient for rejuvenating and regenerating the skin. It is rich in skin loving nutrients, Omega 3, 6 & 9, essential fatty acids and antioxidants to help restore skin.

If Im honest I have always been a bit weary of using an Oil on my skin. I am prone to breakouts and just assumed that applying an oil to my face would just end up with me breaking out. I was wrong. Ive been using this product now for around 2 weeks a couple of nights a week and I love the effect it has on my skin. It has really improved my skin tone and seems to have evened it out. It seems to really plump up the skin and leave it incredibly soft and healthy looking. Im also noticing that its helping to reduce the appearance of the few scars that I have (from spot squeezing DON'T DO IT!).

The product itself comes in a small bottle with a hygienic dropper. Its priced at £16 for 20ml, which I think is great value for money as I only use two drops each night after cleansing.

Although its an oil, once applied to the skin it seems to really penetrate and doesn't leave an overly oily feel on my skin. I was concerned that using an oil would do nothing but end up all over my pillow, but Im so surprised as how much this seems to penetrate and absorb into my skin. My skin seems to drink it! It has a nice subtle scent but once its applied it doesn't linger, so I cannot smell it as Im trying to get to sleep, which is a bonus. I hate strong smelling products on my face when Im trying to sleep and its wafting right up my nose.

Overall I think its a fantastic product to give the skin some much needed TLC while I sleep.I will definitely be re-purchasing once my bottle is finished.

Avilable from Boots priced at £16.00 foir 20ml.

New Lipstick loves and Harveys snow beard!

I think its common knowledge how much I love my nude lipsticks. I have actually started to break away and try more brighter shades but Im a true nude girl at heart and no other shade of Lipstick seems to suit me as much as a nice nude shade. I put it down to the fact that I always have heavy eye make up, so full on lips with heavy eyes looks too much. I think the focus should be either on the lips or eyes but not on both and I choose my eyes.

I've added two new nudes to my collection recently and Im loving them both!

Lord & Berry 20100 Shining Long Lasting Lipstick Crayon in Nude

I was on ASOS the other day picking myself up another Pixi Lid and Line and decided to have a browse round while I was there .. you know .. like you do. My little peepers came alive when I noticed the Lord and Berry Lip Crayons were on sale, Ive been thinking about picking up the nude one for ages so when I saw it on offer for £6.40 it was added to my basket.

Ive never used a Lip Crayon before, as Ive always imaged them to be a bit drying and accentuate even the tiniest little dry patch on my lips. That's not the case with this. It is so smooth and creamy, it glides on with ease and has a fantastic shine to it. It doesn't dry out my lips and lasts a decent amount of time before a top up is needed.

Avon Luxe Lace Ultra Colour Rich Lipstick in Pout

I've seen this Lipstick pop up on quite a few blogs recently and loved the look of it.

The perfect pink nude. It reminds me a lot of MAC's hue, so if you like that you'll probably love this. Its smooth to apply and contains jojoba and vitamin E to keep lips nice and hydrated.

Swatched with MAC Hue. Pout top Hue Bottom.

I think Im getting a bit of an Avon fiend at the moment! There are so many products on there that are catching my eye.

What do you think of Avon products? What Lipstick are you loving at the moment?

In other news the snow has finally made its way to Manchester :( Im not a lover of snow at all, its nothing but an inconvenience! Maybe if this country knew how to deal with it, then I wouldn't hate it so much, but it just seems to come to a standstill once we get a bit of snow.

Harvey's getting into the spirit though and made himself a snow beard in the bath last night ha!

How do you feel about the snow? love it or loath it?

I know many of you own a bottle of Bio Oil and have different uses for it. So I want to know yours! Tell me how you use it, tell me how it helps. Im intrigued!

Fashion - My picks from Joe Browns.

Ive been clothes shopping a lot lately. I decided it was time to ease off the make up and skincare purchases and focus on sorting my wardrobe out. So instead of browsing at make up and skincare items, Ive been browsing a lot of online clothes stores and treating myself to some much needed new clothing items.

I've been shopping at most of the usual places but Ive also found myself a few lesser known online stores. http://www.joebrowns.co.uk/ is a quirky online store whos motto is about living for the moment, getting out there and enjoying yourself and their clothes reflect that.

I thought I would show you a few of the items Ive got my eye on.

Tasty Texture Knit With Scarf £27.95

I love a nice cosy thick jumper. This one is perfect and it comes with a co-ordinated scarf too!

Ski Bunny Knit £34.95

How cute is this! Love it!

Shaggy Jacket £59.95

I remember having a jacket like this when I was about 15. I loved it to death! Everyone said it reminded them of a dead sheep, but I didn't care. It was different and it got me noticed.

Perfect Layering Top £14.95

I love simple slouch style tops for during the day.

Stunning Giant Snood £19.95

I've been wanting a snood for a while now and this one looks perfect.

They also sell menswear, jewellery, bags and purses, accessories and even gifts.

Tipsy Toes Ice Cubes £8.95

Im so getting my friend some of these. She'll love them to pop in her Vodka!

If you like quirky and unique items, definitely head over and check out Joe Browns Clothing

Sigma Face and Eye Kit

Seen as Sigma are offering free worldwide shipping today for one day only, I thought it would be a good time to review the Face and Eyes Kit which I was recently sent from Sigma for review consideration.

Sigma brushes have been raved about all over the beauty community, as being cheap and affordable dupes of MAC brushes. Sadly I cant compare all these brushes to MAC brushes as I only own a handful of MAC brushes. We all know MAC brushes cost a fortune, so dupes are definitely welcome in my world!

The face and eyes kit contains 6 every day essential brushes you need to apply makeup to eyes and face and is priced at $54.00 (around £32.00).

Brushes included are:

- Large Powder Brush F30 - Very dense with a rounded top. Ideal to apply powder products on face and body. Natural bristles.

- Eye Shading Brush E55 -  Soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments. Ideal to build intense color on the eyelid. Natural bristles.

- Duo Fibre Brush F50 - Specially designed to generate an ‘airbrushed’ finish when used to apply liquid foundation. It can also be used to apply blush, highlight shades and loose pigments. Blend of synthetic and natural bristles.

- Tapered Blending Brush E40 - Rounded and tapered top. Specially designed to apply and blend color on the crease. Natural bristles.

- Pencil Brush E30 - Precise application of color on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. Also ideal to smudge out pencil liner. Natural bristles.

- Buffer Brush F45 - Ideal to apply mineral foundation, loose or pressed powders. Also great to buff colors and obtain a soft, blended look. Natural bristles.

Large Powder Brush F30

The description is spot on. It is a nice large powder brush and the bristles are very dense. Its not as big and fluffy as I normal like my powder brushes to be, I do like them to be pretty big (my max factor one is my absolute fave) but its incredibly soft and I find it better to use with blusher.

Eye Shading Brush E55

Near enough exactly the same as my MAC 239. Definitely a dupe and much cheaper. I already own one of these which I purchased myself and use it just as much as I use my 239. Its fantastic for applying shadow to the lid and holds shadow well with no fall out.

Pencil Brush E30

A pencil brush is one of my essential brushes. I use one daily for applying shadow lightly under my lash line or for adding some precise definition to my crease. I do own the MAC pencil brush and I can say this is a spot on dupe. My MAC one is slightly firmer, but there really isn't much between the two. Both do exactly the same job.

Tapered Blending Brush E40

This is unfortunately the one brush that wont get much use from me with regards to blending and applying shadow in my crease. I only have small eyes and its just too big and not dense enough for me. I have however been using it to dust powder under my eyes to set my concealer.

Buffer Brush F45

This is actually a new type of brush for me. I have a few Kabuki brushes but this is different from my Kabuki's. This is really firm and dense but really soft at the same time. I think its aimed more for applying mineral foundation, but Ive been using it to buff in my blusher one applied and my contour lines and it works really well.

Overall Sigma brushes are well worth taking a look at, if you want some cheap and affordable dupes for MAC brushes that work just as good. I do think that only a few MAC brushes are staples and Sigma definitely offer spot on dupes at a lot cheaper prices. For example the E55 and the E30.

If you're wondering why I haven't mentioned the Duo Fibre Brush F50 well that simply because I haven't got round to using it yet, because basically I don't know how to use it and for what! I know many people use a duo fibre brush for applying foundation but do they have any other uses? Let me know!

Love at first spray - Lanvin Marry Me

I was first introduced to this fragrance when the lovely Ladies at Escentual sent me a few fragrance sample cards. They know Im a huge fragrance junkie, so they sent me a few sample cards of the new fragrances available. Out of all the ones I received Lanvin Marry Me was the one that had the most Impact.
Instantly I fell in love with this fragrance and knew I needed it in my life.

Escentual describe the fragrance on their website as a surge of optimistic floral scent, cheerful like a burst of laughter. An essence of carefree playfulness and femininity. The flacon is an elegant and sophisticated art deco design, in the shape of a bow, finished with a fuschia satin ribbon bow around the neck of the bottle.

Top Notes: Bitter Orange Essence, White Peach, Bouquet of Freesias.

Heart Notes: Sambac Jasmine Absolute, Magnolia breeze, Rose Petals.

Base Notes: White Cedar, Vibrant Amber, Musk Veil.

I have never once smelt a fragrance that makes me feel romantic, until I first sprayed Marry Me. It makes me feel romantic, in love, happy and content. When I wear it all I want to do is literally walk down the aisle with Gareth! It has such a comforting scent and just evokes a happiness feeling inside. Its definitely a romantic and sensual scent. Its a perfume I would wear both day and night , simply because I am in love with it and it works well for both. Normally I like perfumes that I wear of an evening to smell sexy and alluring, but because of the rush of different feelings that this evokes when wearing it, it makes me feel so confident which leads to me feeling sexy too.

I simply love everything about this fragrance and I would definitely urge you to try it while out shopping. I can see it being one of the best sellers for Valentines day, accompanied by a big diamond ring!

Marry me can be purchased online at Escentual with prices starting at £32.00 for 30ml.

LOVING - Pixi Lid and Line!

I absolutely love a product that has multiple uses. Especially for use in the mornings. If Ive got to be up and ready and out of the house super early, Im always late. For the simple fact that I always choose to have an extra few precious minutes in my warm cosy bed, then when I do get up, more often than not its always a rush job to make myself look somewhat presentable.

Pixi's Lid and Line is perfect for them mornings.

Lid and Line is an all in one product pen that provides an eye shadow, liner and smudger in coordinated tones.

You can literally create a gorgeous but subtle smokey eye look in a couple of minutes. The product couldn't be easier to use. I literally coat my lid with the shadow, then line my upper lid and lower lash line and smudge it out a little, then add a little more shadow to my bottom lash line for that smoked out look.

I currently only have the shade plum, which is the perfect shade for a subtle smokey eye. Less harsh than black and suitable for day time wear. It has a nice soft creamy texture and fantastic staying power. It could easily take you from day to night with the help of a little top up.

There are 6 shades to choose from; Smokey Blue, Smokey Bronze, Smokey Black, Smokey Mink, Smokey Plum and Smokey Olive. Each priced at £14.00 from Boots which I actually think its pretty reasonable for a shadow and a liner.

Smokey Mink and Smokey Olive are definitely next on my list!

Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner and True Colour Eyeshadow Quad.

I remember the first time I bought some Avon products. I was 15 (late starter?) and had a little Saturday job working at Manchester City football Club. I thought it was the best thing in the world earning some money for myself and as soon as an Avon brochure was dropped though my door, I was ordering. To be fair I can only remember one of the products I bought because I loved it so much. It was an Eyeshadow quad. I used it every single day and hit pan on all 4 shades.

Since then Ive never actually owned any other Avon products. Mainly because a representative stopped delivering brochures in our area. I never once thought that they would have an online shop. I've always actually assumed it was all still done like it was back in the day, with a brochure being delivered. So the brand kind of disappeared out of my mind. That was until other bloggers started posting and raving about Avon's New Supershock Gel Eyeliner.

I love my eyeliners. Love them. My eye make up is not complete until I have some eyeliner on. Up until now my beloved Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero has not been beaten, with regards to pigmentation, ease of use and staying power. When people started to rave about Avon Gel Eyeliner I knew I had to have it in my life. One word - AMAZING!

The pigmentation on this eyeliner is the best I have experienced. The colour pay off after one single stroke is truly incredible! Its soft and creamy to apply and doesn't pull or tug on the delicate eye area In terms of wear its definitely comparable to UD 24/7 Liners. It lasts all day long without fading or smudging. You know the best thing about it? and what makes me smile? the price - £6.00! Although its currently on offer for £3! You need to head on over to the online store and pick one up pronto. You seriously will not be dissapointed. I love a bargain and this is definitely the best bargain of my year.

Another Avon product Ive completely fell in love with is their True Color Eyeshadow Quad (£8 but currently on offer for £6) in Mocha Latte.

This has totally taken me back to when I was 15 when I bought my first Avon product. Even though they were packaged different then, they are still exactly the same. Soft smooth silky eyeshadow that apply beautifully and blend well. Its perfect for lazy days or when Im rushing and want a nice neutral quick and easy eye.

Both products can be purchased online from the Avon Shop.

The worlds most expensive nail polish launches today! - Models Own Gold Rush

Yep...Models Own has pushed the boundaries to the limit and created the most expensive, opulent nail polish in the world with Gold Rush. When I say expensive, I mean expensive because this bottle of polish will set you back £83,000! It launches today and is ready to view and order from Frost of London.

Feast your eyes on this!

"At £83,000, Gold Rush is no ordinary nail polish. When painted on the nails it looks like gold leaf – it glistens and glimmers and actually sparkles as if it contains tiny diamonds, yet is absolutely smooth to the touch. The exquisite gold lid is hand-crafted from a solid ingot of yellow gold, and weighs nearly 4 ounces. A total of 1,118 diamonds have been precisely inset weighing over 14 carats of 'collection' VVS quality and colours D, E and F. Long lasting and easy to apply, the weight of the gold and diamond encrusted lid makes nail painting a doddle – even after a few glasses of Cristal".

WOW... just WOW.

Fear not though, for all of us out there that don't have £83.00 to spare let alone £83.000, Models Own have thought of us too and Gold Rush Ready to Wear (£5.00) will be will be available from Boots (23rd February 2011) and will be available online at http://www.modelsownit.com/ from mid December.

Just out of interest, if £83,000 was just pocket change to you, would you be purchasing Gold Rush?
