Foundation Brush Or Fingers?
Me personally Its fingers all the way. I cannot get to grips with using a foundation brush to apply a whole face of foundation. I feel like it doesn't blend my foundation enough, like around my ears and down my neck line etc. I feel like Im painting my foundation on. I don't like the finish after using a brush. Basically I just don't rate or like them. That being said, I do use a foundation brush daily. My trusty No.7 one, which I use to apply concealer around my chin area. Small concealer brushes don't cut it for that area.
Which do you prefer to use to apply your foundation?
I used to use a sponge but got fed up of so much foundation getting absorbed (plus the sponges just got disgusting anyway ha) and now I love applying my foundation with my new Barbara Daly foundation brush x

ReplyDeleteDon't use the paintbrush style. I use either a duo fibre, flat top powder or my fingers depending on the foundation and I love all three!
ReplyDeleteI always used my fingers, foundation brushes confused me to no end...how on earth do you blend with a large paint brush!??? But then i bought the ELF powder brush and its wonderful. I use it for mineral powder foundation and it gives a great even cover and it's great for buffing in liquid foundation too.

I don't wear foundation often but when I do I use a stippling brush, I don't think I get even coverage with just my fingers x

Brushes! I have seen people use fingers, and get good coverage from it, but I doubt very much I'd do it very good lol.
ReplyDeleteI use my fingers, I did religiously try and use a brush at one point but I just didn't like it as much and ended up using my fingers to blend it anyway...

ReplyDeleteI will apply the foundation initially with a brush (flat top powder brush or duo fibre) then blend some with fingers and soften certain areas with a beauty blender if needed - high maintenance I am hahah!Different foundations work best with different application methods for me

Fingers all the way! I always look really cakey and can never get as nice a finish with a brush as I can with fingers. I'd like to invest in a nice buffing brush though.
