Decleor AROMA CLEANSE Hydra-radiance Smoothing and Cleansing Mousse

My cleanser addiction is still going strong and It shows no signs of letting up. I still think its my duty in life to work my way through every cleanser out there and as soon as new ones are released, Im on it. The one I've been using the past 2 weeks or so is Decleor's NEW AROMA CLEANSE Hydra-radiance Smoothing & Cleansing Mousse, which comes complete with a handy little wash bag and two huge Muslin cloths.

The cleanser was created as a direct response specifically to UK customers’ concerns about their skin and is only available to purchase in the UK. It's described as 3-in-1 cleanser which provides three skincare benefits: Deep Skin Cleansing, Skin Polishing & Perfecting and Hydrating & Plumping.

These three actions aim to give immediate results in one simple step and provide:

On paper it sounds like the perfect cleanser, so I know you'll be able to understand why I was eager to give it a try.

So what do I think?

I'm going to tell it to you straight and say it is indeed a fantastic cleanser! This seriously makes make up removal an absolute breeze. The directions for use are to work a small amount into a lather with water. I find it works best by splashing my face with water and then adding the mousse. It then works up into a gorgeous and luxurious, moisture rich foam, which breaks up my make up in seconds. The real benefits of this cleanser though, is how skin looks after a few days of continuous use. The ingredients of White-Bright Complex, Mulberry Tree and Grape Extracts really brings the skin alive and makes it look so radiant, while the Oil of Neroli ensures skin is kept moisturised long after use. Every morning for the past two weeks my skin has been looking plumped and moisturised. Now obviously the products I currently use of a night time do account for how good my skin is looking lately, but Its a good cleanser that gives the skin the best possible base for a luminous, glowing result enabling subsequent moisturising products the ability to work more effectively. So without a doubt, a good cleanser is important and believe me when I say this is GOOD.

I should point out though, that this is not an all in one cleanser. A seperate eye make up remover is needed first. DO NOT put this on your eyes, Im talking from experience, as it literally stung my eyes so much, that I thought I was going to end up blind. I do prefer to use a seperate eye make up remover anyway, so this is not a problem to me, but I did try it on the eye area, so I would be able to provide a full review.

Sneaky peek - NEW Collection 2000 products

I will always have a soft spot for Collection 2000. The brand I used throughout my teenage years. The products fitted my budget perfectly and I was never disappointed. Of course as we grow older though, the love for make up grows and we start branching out and trying other brands and the old ones we used to love so much, kind of get forgotten about. Collection 2000 Have been draw3ing me in recently with the lure of some fab new products. I was sent a few of the upcoming releases to have a play with and they really have impressed me.

I have well and truly fallen in love with this palette and have used it none stop since last week. If you love a nice smokey eye like myself, then this palette contains all the perfect shades to achieve that sultry smokey eye.. It contains 8 shades ranging from light to medium to dark, all of which work so well together and blend perfectly. It also contains an eye-brightening cream that highlights the inner corners of the eyes. Just dab the cream in the inner corner of the eye & blend upwards towards the brow to add a subtle sheen to your dramatic eye-look. I was actually very surprised about the quality of the shadows included. If Im honest I didn't think they would live up to much, as its just so cheap for 8 eye shadows, but the pigmentation and the texture of the shadows really have impressed me.

I'm using a stock image to show the shades, as my camera didn't want to play ball and really struggled to pick up the lighter shades.

Lasting Colour Lipstick

Again, these surprised me. I don't actually think I ever bought a Collection 2000 Lipstick in my younger days, and if I did I cannot remember, so these were all new to me. The texture is gorgeous and the pigmentation is fantastic!  I definitely need to check the other shades available. Can't go wrong for £2.99! 

A new mascara will also be released with the collection - Supersize Mascara

Scents for Father's Day

I don't know about you, but I think men are ridiculously hard to buy for. Especially Dads. I never having a problem choosing what to buy my mum as a present, but when it comes to my dad it's a whole different story. The one thing I know I can always rely on though, is a nice fragrance. As Father's Day is fast approaching, I thought I would share a few of my dads favourite scents with you, in case any of you are like me and get stuck with what to buy at times like this and need a little help.

Paco Rabanne Pour Homme

A true Classic. This fragrance has been around since 1981 and guaranteed your dad has probably owned a bottle in the past. When I smell this is smells like a typical Father Smell. It's just one of those scents that will appeal to all and probably a scent that many women will be familiar with too, as Im sure many men have wore this over the years. You can never go wrong with a classic.

Gucci Guilty Pour Homme

Due to the success of Gucci Guilty for women, Gucci Guilty Pour Homme was launched not long afterwards and is expected to be a best seller for this Father Day's. When I smell this scent, I can understand why. Not only will be this be a treat for your dad on Father's Day but it will also be a treat for your mum too, as it will leave your dad smelling sexy and seductive, not something we really want to imagine when thinking of our parents though, but they are only human too I guess. I think its has a nice youngish feel to it and will make any father feel a little bit special and thought about this Father's Day.

Lacoste Blue -

This is the perfect day time scent. It's a fresh, clean but powerful aquatic scent. It lingers really well and is perfect for the summer months ahead. It's a scent that would be a nice gift if the man you are buying it for is into sports, or maybe spends a lot of time at the gym. I really like this one, it reminds me a lot of Davidoff Cool Water, which I also love.

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver

If you really want to treat your dad this Father's Day, then this is my top pick. This smells absolutely amazing and I have frequently wore this myself, as it really is a scent that I think absolutely anyone will love. My dad doesn't actually own a bottle of this, but Gareth does and I'll be treating my dad to a bottle this Father's Day. To me, this smells perfect in every single way, it is such a capturing and luxurious scent. I honestly do doubt that any man will fail to love this scent. It's truly amazing and I don't often say that about males fragrances. This one has my heart, never mind my dads.

Father's day is not all about slashing the cash though, to show the main man in life how much he means to you and how much he is appreciated and loved. A simple card with a few choice words, would be just as perfect.

Product rave - Alpha H Liquid Gold

When a product is talked about constantly within the beauty community and hailed as a miracle 'must have' product, then I want some of the action. Alpha H Liquid Gold has been raved about constantly over the past few months and when people such as Kenneth Soh and Caroline Hirons constantly talk about how good this product is, then Its time to try.

So what is it?

Basically its a liquid skin refiner, a powerful resurfacing and firming lotion for the skin, which contains Glycolic Acid, and Licorice Root Extract. The combination of these two ingredients revitalises a tired complexion resulting in brighter, smoother-looking skin. It also improves the appearance of wrinkles, open pores and acne. In a word it probably caters for every single skin concern and is a product that I personally think every person, male or female should have in their skincare routine.

I was advised by Kenneth and Caroline to use Liquid Gold at night, about 3 times a week and apply with a cotton wool generously to the face, as I would do a toner. Now normally after applying a toner to my face the next step would be to moisturise. When using Liquid Gold though, forget the moisturiser. This is a powerful overnight treatment and to get the full benefits from the product, it needs to be left on the skin overnight, with no other product added.

Upon first use I was told that the product would tingle slightly on the skin and not to worry. I can confirm, it does tingle on the skin and not just upon the first use. It tingles on my skin every time I use it. This doesn't bother me at all, as it just reinforces the fact that the product is working.

So how does it benefit my skin?

To put it to you straight, the morning after applying Liquid Gold, I wake up and my skin looks shit hot. No beating around the bush here, my skin looks fresh, clear and alive. Noticeably different to the days where I don't use the product over night. Its addictive. If I knew I could use it every night and wake up with perfect skin, then I would. However I think 3 times a week is more than enough, as the results do last. I've been using mine now for around 2-3 weeks now and have the best skin Ive had in a long while. At the time I started using it, I was due for my monthly hormonal breakout, which occurs around my chin area. No breakout for me this month. Just clear skin. Another thing I've noticed is how it really does seem to be firming my skin. Which is what is needed for me, as I'm not getting any younger.

Overall? Definitely a MUST HAVE product. Whatever your skin concerns, get yourself some Liquid Gold. Its packs a powerful punch and is a product I now wouldn't be without.

Sue Devitt - The Beausoleil Collection

Im not very familiar with Sue Devitt products, in the sense that I've not had the pleasure of trying any of her products in the past. I was offered the chance to try a few products from The Beausoleil Collection for Spring 2011 and obviously jumped at the chance.

The collection was inspired by Sue's recent travels to Vieques, a remote island off the coast of Puerto Rico and is the perfect collection for me as the products are all about capturing the golden glow of a caribbean escape, without the suns harmful effects. A look I strive for. I like to look like I have a holiday glow all year round and I am definitely a self confessed fake tan and bronzer addict!

The two products I was sent are the Hydrating Marine Minerals Destination Eye & Cheek Palette (£31.00) and the Bronzing Pressed Powder in Beau Bronze (£24.00)

Hydrating Marine Minerals Destination Eye & Cheek Palette

The Eye and Cheek Palette is a multipurpose product which can be used both on the eyes and the face. It contains four gorgeous shades, which can obviously be used separately for the eyes or combined on the cheeks. When combined the results are so beautiful and I have been wearing this lightly swept along the tops of my cheekbones for a gorgeous summery glow. The product also contains a unique formulation that increases skin’s moisture levels and vitality, so it doesn't only achieve the perfect sun kissed look, it is also benefiting the skin too.

Bronzing Pressed Powder in Beau Bronze

This is one of the best bronzers I have tried in a while. I think the shade is absolutely perfect, no orange tones apparent at all, it really does just mimic a natural tan. It has just the right amount of pigmentation to make application a breeze, with no chance of having a bronzer overload moment. It applies smoothly and evenly and basically just sweeps over my skin, leaving a gorgeous bronze look. It is also formulated with water lily extract, which is a powerful antioxidant, which helps to sooth and nurture the skin. I really have fallen in love with this bronzer.

The collection also contains a Gel Bronzer with SPF 40 which I am eager to try, as I've always used powder bronzers, so a Gel Bronzer would be a whole new thing to me. There is also a few skincare products, one of which I am trialing at the moment and will be providing a review soon!

The Beauty Parlour Buff It Up! Body Scrub

Superdrug recently released a new line called The Beauty Parlour. The range consists of Body Scrubs, Body Lotions, Face Masks, Face Washes, Moisturisers, and products designed to target certain areas like Antin Cellulite Gel, Boob Tubes in a Box, Lip Plump and Dark Circle and Puffy Eye Treatment. All products are packaged in fantastic retro style packaging and are very reasonably priced with no product being over the £15.00 mark.

I was recently sent the Buff It Up! Body Scrub from the range, to try out and share my thoughts on. Using a body scrub is essential for me. I fake tan and my skin needs to be super soft and rid of any dead skin, for my tan to apply evenly and streak free.

"Get your sparkle back with this super smoothing delicious body scrub... Containing gentle Pumice, moisturising Apricot Kernel Oil and a sensuous aroma. Your skin will feel smooth and smell fantastic!"

For £4.99 this is an absolute bargain Body Scrub. Im quite fussy with my body scrubs. I like them to feel nice and grainy so I know they are giving my skin a good scrub, but I also like the product to be easily spreadable. I've used Body Scrubs in the past, that have been a nightmare and have been too thick to spread, meaning I use a lot more product than I should. This one is a joy to use though. Its thick enough to give my body a good scrub on application, but what I like about it most is that it spreads so easily and is actually quite creamy. Immediately after massaging the scrub into my skin and then rinsing away, I can feel how smooth and soft my skin feels.The Apricot Kernal Oil which is one of the ingredients in the scrub, is high in vitamins A and E and regular applications of products containing the oil will keep skin smooth, moisturised and flexible. The scent of the product is very light, but smells gorgeous, which is always a bonus with body products.

If you're looking for a cheap but effective Body Scrub, then I recommend you give this one a try!

Laser eye surgery - Have you? do you want to?

My eyesight was the bane of my life for many years. I refused to wear my glasses, except when at home (how vain am I) and spent at least 3 years struggling to see. I was constantly wrong judged as ignorant, as many friends etc would see me out and about and would wave only to be totally ignored because I couldn't see them. I finally decided to get contacts about a year old and it was the best thing I have ever done. However now I would love to take it that one step further and have Laser Eye Surgery at an Ultralase Eye Clinic.

Now I know many people may consider laser eye surgery to be a drastic step, but I personally think it would benefit me in so many ways. I spend a fortune on contact lenses and seen as I will be using them for the rest of my life, I do think the cheaper option for the long run would be to have surgery.

When considering surgery though, I want it done by the best and I definitely think Ultralase are that. I have read many fantastic reviews and having carried about more than 220,000 treatments so far, I know I will be putting my eyesight in reliable hands.

Obviously the procedure doesn't come cheap and it does cost a lot of money to have the surgery done. I like the fact that Ultralase do offer payment plans though, if money is an issue.

As Laser Eye Surgery is something I am really considering, I would love to hear from any of you who are considering Laser eye surgery yourself or have in fact had the procedure done.

More Shiseido Shimmering Rouge Lipsticks and Shiseido Perfect Rouge Glowing Matte Lipsticks.

I fell in love with Shiseidos Shimmering Rouge Lipsticks as soon I first tried them, a few months ago. Since then Shiseido's whole line of make up has been tempting me and a few more Shimmering Rouge's have been added to my collection and also two shades of their Perfect Rouge Glowing Matte Lipstick.

For me, the Shimmering Rouge Lipsticks cannot be faulted in any way at all. I love everything about them, from the texture, to the staying power, to the range of shades. They feel absolutely amazing when applied. They glide onto the lips so smoothly and quality is definitely apparent. I tend to favour Lipstick over Lip Gloss, however I do love the look of Lip Gloss when applied, so these Lipsticks are perfect for me and a nice alternative to gloss, as they apply, look and feel like a Lipstick, but have a gorgeous shimmery and slightly glossy finish.

Shimmering Rouge PK311

The ultimate "my lips but better shade". This is such a pretty shade and just perfect for when Im not feeling like wearing a lot of make up, but still need to look presentable.

Shimmering Rouge OR405

My summer love! A gorgeous shimmering coral. This looks amazing with a tan and will definitely be my go to summer shade.

The Perfect Rouge Glowing Matte Lipstick's are completely different to the Shimmering Rouge, as the name suggests they are completely Matte. I love a matte lipstick and think matte lips can provide an interesting and sophisticated look. Most Matte Lipsticks can be extremely drying though and Lips needs to be in really good condition to be able to pull a matte shade off. Shiseido's Glowing Matte Lipsticks are different to any other matte lipstick I have though and feels a lot more creamier in texture and a lot more easily wearable. They are not as dull as other matte lipsticks and do seem to offer something a bit different, guess the name "glowing matte" sums them up pretty well. The staying power is equally impressive and I find they last a good decent amount of time before I need to re-apply.

The most perfect peach shade. I wear this a lot teamed with a smokey eye and near enough bare cheeks.

My perfect red. I've been looking for my perfect red for a long time and I do think I may have found it. This seems to work with my skin tone so well, which could be down to the fact that it does swerve onto the coral side a little. I have been loving wearing a very very subtle smokey eye, teamed with red lips lately.

I definitely recommend that you take a look at both the Shimmering Rouges and the Glowing Mattes, next time you are passing a Shiseido counter. They are both top quality Lipsticks, packaged in a sleek metallic casing and have most definitely impressed me.
