L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 Renew Advanced Anti-Ageing Moisturiser with Glycan

Over the past few months, I've been struggling slightly with moisturisers. I've put quite a few new moisturisers to the test and none seemed to be cutting it. I've just felt not satisfied. I felt like there was just something missing, they were doing the job, but that's about all. When I'm using a product, I like to enjoy using it, I don't like to apply my moisturiser as a chore every morning and to see it as just something that has to be done which does the job. I want to see improvements in my skin day by day. I like to notice a difference when I start using a new product. This wasn't happening. My skin was being kept on an even keel but that's about all.

Just at the right time, L'oreal released their new Revitalift Laser Renew range, a range which immediately appealed to me. The range is intended to not only help combat and prevent lines and wrinkles, but to also penetrate the deeper levels of the skin. The three main ingredients in the Moisturiser promise to offer some intense action on the skin. Naturally-derived glycan (or complex sugar)-Pro-Xylane, has been proven in a 6 month study to reduce the appearance of crow’s feet wrinkles, boost skin density and improve bounce, LHA (Lipohydroxy acid) is a smart exfoliating ingredient and the third ingredient fragmented Hyaluronic acid is a moisturising ingredient which boost the effects of the formula and has also been proven to fight wrinkles and act as a line plumper/filler.

I've been using the Moisturiser, combined with the Serum (review to follow) for around 3-4 weeks now and I'm really pleased with the effects both products have had on my skin. The texture of my skin has improved greatly, with it appearing a lot more smoother and plumper. I've also noticed a difference in my pores, which seem a lot less obvious when I'm make up free. I love the fact the formula is nice and light, but provides the perfect amount of moisture to keep my skin fully hydrated and to also keep my dry patches at bay. With it being nice and light in texture, it absorbs into the skin almost immediately and provides a really nice base ready for my make up application. As far as targeting wrinkles go, I cannot really comment, as my priority at my age (31) is prevention rather than cure. I don't have wrinkles to tackle, apart from a very slight one across my forehead, which actually seems to getting more slighter by the day. The only downside I can find with the Moisturiser is the fact that it contains no SPF. I do prefer my Moisturiser to have an added SPF however when I see noticeable results from the usage it doesn't bother me too much, as I can apply that separately. Also I would prefer the cream to be in a pump bottle rather than a glass jar, for hygiene reasons.

Overall I'm extremely pleased with the product. It have given me noticeable results and provides everything I look for in a moisturiser.

Available to purchase from Boots priced at £19.99
