Garnier Tinted Eye Roll On - I'll stick to the original thanks.

After finally purchasing the original Garnier Eye Roll on and being quite impressed with how it soothed my puffy eyes in the morning, I was actually quite excited when Garnier released the Tinted Eye Roll. It contains the same ingredients as the original roll one, apart from it contains mineral pigments which is supposed to instantly cover dark circles. Hmmmm.... "De-puffing and concealing all at once" I thought. Sounds good to me!

I was actually just on the verge of purchasing it when I was talking to my lovely friend Marcia on Twitter and she offered to send me hers as she just couldn't get on with it. So yeah... I was sent this product for free, not by a PR firm.. by Marcia. Ha.

I'm not going to go into too much detail as I'm fairly certain you would have read countless reviews of this product on other blogs. Basically I'm just going to tell you about my experience with this product.

First off I am fair skinned. When choosing a concealer the lightest shade is always near enough always a perfect shade match. So I had high hopes for this product as the shade Marcia sent me was number 1 for fair skin tones. I was wrong. The shade doesn't work well for me at all. It comes off rather yellowish to be honest.

I also found the consistency to be really watery. It was just too thin. I don't like my under eye concealers to be think by any means, but I like them to be a bit creamy and give me good coverage as I have under eye circles that need to be covered basically. For me this just wasn't suitable in any way. I'll be sticking to the Original Roll On and using my own concealer.

A reply button seriously. How many of us read someones blog, ask a question, which is a question they really would like a reply to, but then they forget to go back to the same blog later on to see if the author has replied. I read a hell of a lot of blogs in one day, and comment on a lot too, with sometimes questions about a product etc that I'd really like a reply to. After commenting on a blog though, I then go and read another blog and another blog etc, maybe comment on them too and then totally forget to go back to read the replies.

Blogger needs to have a reply button under each comment. Authors of blogs can then simply hit reply to comment to a specific persons comment, then an email will be sent to the person who commented notifying them they have got a reply to a comment left. (God that was a mouth full).

I'm just ranting really. But its something about blogger that really pisses me off.

New Skincare Items.

A few weeks ago, my lovely friend Sarah over @ I heart Cosmetics offered to pick me up another sample jar of Estee Lauder Moisturiser. She was aware that the last Jar she sent me, which was Day Wear Plus had run out and as she was purchasing items from Estee Lauder she asked would I like her to pick me up another sample.

The sample jars are really good, the last one Sarah sent me lasted around a month and I loved it, it was perfect for my skin. Sarah asked did I want Day Wear Plus again or did I fancy trying the new one, which is Time Zone. I opted to try the new one.

Big mistake. After a few days of using it, I started to break out. Now at this point I didn't know if it was the Moisturiser or a new Serum I'd just started using at the same time. I assumed it was the serum as Day Wear Plus never caused me any problems, so I didn't think Time Zone would either.

I discontinued using the serum, only to find that each day I was breaking out with more spots. Not good. I was so not impressed. Yeah.. I normally get the odd spot, don't we all, but nothing compared to what Ive been experiencing recently. Needless to say Ive stopped using the moisturiser, but now my skin is in a right state.

I decided to have a look on Boots website read a few reviews and see what I could find which was effective and also had a nice cheap cheap price tag, to help sort my skin out.

Here's what I picked up..

First off I needed a new Moisturiser. I have plenty half full moisturisers which I could have just gone back to using, but I love trying something new plus I wanted a moisturiser that had some benefits to help with current problem skin situation. I decided on Olay Total Effect 7 in 1 Anti Aging + Anti Blemish. You all know how I love my Anti Aging Products, so the sound of this really interested me. It provides 7 powerful anti aging benefits in 1 essential product plus also fights the appearance of blemishes. It was also on offer so it only cost me £10.99.

Next up I picked up 2 products from Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel line. Again I read a few good reviews, plus they were on offer for 2 for £5... bargain!!! I got the Foaming Face wash and the Cleansing and Toning Lotion.

So all in all I only spent £16, and picked up 3 items. Not bad, if I do say so myself. I shall let you all know how I get on with them.

Todays Nails...

George @ Asda put a smile on my face once again. Absolutely adore this shade! Although its named "Hot Pink" I think its more of a dusky pink? I'm really not good at describing shades ha. This has easily become my favourite George Polish. It was gorgeous to apply and one coat would have easily been enough, although I do like 2 coats or more. It really does look stunning on my nails and has the most gorgeous finish.

Isn't it just gorgeous?! LOVE it!

First time Fake Tanning.

I'm white. Not even white with a nice tint or something, but straight up snow white. The palest of the palest. And I don't like it. Ok..... so its been winter, the tan from Summer has all faded etc etc I'm supposed to be white right? but normally I hit the Sunbeds. Yes I know its wrong, I know its dangerous, but twice a week just kept me looking human enough. However this Winter came and I finally sorted my head out with regards to using a Sunbed and put a stop to it. Gareth and my mum both hate me using them, so for months now Ive been embracing my paleness. Basically Ive hated it. So I decided a few weeks ago I was going to fake it and never go back to baking it.

I've never fake tanned before. The most Ive used is a bit of Rimmel Sun Shimmer so I was a bit scared of what Brand to use etc, thinking would I end up looking an orange streaky mess, worried about how to apply it basically I was getting a little worked up over the thought of it all ha! I decided though to stop being so mard and to just give it a try, hell if I come out a streaky orange mess... I'll just hibernate, I thought to myself.

The brand I decided to go with, is the much raved about St Moriz. I was sent a bottle of Sienna X from the gorgeous Cosmetic Candy, but after trying it on my legs I wasn't too happy with it so I passed it on to my friend. Ive read hundreds of good reviews on St Moriz its cheap and I figured that if it turns out a mess, I haven't wasted a fortune on something like St. Tropez just to find out I'm basically no good at applying fake tan.

I purchased the Mist after reading Milly's glowing review on it, where she compared it to St Tropez. I paid £2.95 for it.

So how did I get on?

First all I did all the usual things associated with fake tanning, make sure I had bathed, exfoliated and give my self a damn good moisturising. Application was so so easy, can't believe Ive never had the balls to try fake tanning before. I decided to use my bare hands instead of a tanning mitt and just washed my hands after each section, so I did an arm etc then washed, then the other arm and so on. It sounds like a long routine but it really isn't... it took me say 10-15 minutes to do my whole body. St Moriz is a dream to work with. Its been compared to St Tropez countless of times, but without the hefty price tag. The best thing for me is that it is an instant tan so you can see where you are applying it. When you first apply it, it comes out a light brown colour then over the next few hours it deepens to a much more natural golden tan. This needs to be remembered upon application, as you don't want to be putting more and more on thinking you're not dark enough, only to find out after a few hours that you look like you've changed race as its gone darker.

This product really is value for money. Considering its so cheap, it not one of those shady fake tans that look completely fake, more orange than brown. All week long my friends have been commenting and have gone out themselves and bought a bottle.

Pretty natural looking eh? I will definitely be re-purchasing, this will be a staple product of mine from now on.

NOTD - Rimmel Pro - Orange Bliss.

A couple of days ago I featured a Rimmel Nail Polish in my monthly favorites post, so I thought I'd do a NOTD just to show what it actually looks like on my nails. I really do have a thing for Orange and Coral polishes at the moment and this polish fits the bill perfectly. Its the perfect shade of Orange. Although it looks quite bright in my pics, its not actually as bright when on my nails. Each pic is 2 coats and a top coat.

This Polish really does give me that summer feeling. How do you feel about Orange and Coral nails?

L'Oréal Paris Perfect Clean Soothing Foaming Cream Wash.

While out shopping last week, a new product from L'oreal caught my eye. L'Oréal Paris Perfect Clean Soothing Foaming Cream Wash.

If I'm honest I wasn't to bothered about the actual wash, I was more interested in the little scrublet that comes with the product. I always feel that just washing alone with a facial wash, doesn't make my face feel squeaky clean, so I do like to use some sort of exfoliating sponge to make sure I'm giving my face a good clean. The scrublet is a soft and flexible cleansing brush, which is attached to the wash through a little hole. You simply pop it out to use it then either pop it back in after use or attach it to your bathroom tiles by the little sucker which is attached to it.

The wash itself is for dry and sensitive skin and is fragrance free and soap free. It claims to "gently remove dirt, oil & make-up for a deep pore cleansing experience. The combination of a specific cleansing wash for your skin type plus Scrublet provides a deep pore cleansing sensation".

The first time I used this product I was actually amazed at how the scrublet feels on the skin. So soft and gentle, not as harsh as an exfoliating sponge and it actually feels really nice using it, kinda like its massaging my skin. I was also shocked at how much grime came off my face with it. As its white, you can see the grime easily. I had previously wiped my make up off with a cleansing wipe, but it just goes to show that using just a cleansing wipe is not efficient enough. If I'm honest the wash is nothing special, it does make my face feel thoroughly clean afterwards, but I prefer cleansers that have some added benefits like my Neutrogena 2 in 1 mask and wash which also helps to keep my skin clear or an anti aging cleanser. I probably wont carry on to use the wash, although its a nice wash I do prefer others that I have. I will definitely continue to use the scrublet though, as its so soft and gentle its suitable for every day use and it really does make my skin feel extra clean.

MAC Pretty Please Lipstick.....

.....Oh how I love thee! I'm not normally a fan of Lustre Lipsticks, but this one is something special. I've been lusting over this Lipstick for so long. Every time I tried to get my hands on it though, it was sold out online and in store, so I was not having much luck until the gorgeous TalluluhBella mentioned on Twitter that she was selling one. I actually nearly missed out on it as the lovely Steph already claimed it, but Steph knew how much Ive been lusting over it and kindly stepped aside and let me have it. Isn't she a darlin'!!!!

I cannot tell you how much I love this Lipstick. Its totally not something I would normally go for but once I swatched at my BF's house (no it wasn't his... it was his sisters Channys hehe) I fell in love.

Do you own Pretty Please and love it as much as I do?

Monthly Favourites - February 2010.

March already. The years go too fast now. Once I hit 21 that was it... the years started to fly by. I'm 30 next year :( time to need to come to a halt because I'm not looking forward to that one bit!

Anyway onto my monthly favourites.

No.7 Natural Radiance Highlighter - This is seriously one amazing product. I'm so glad I purchased it. The sheen it gives my cheekbones is so gorgeous. I've had so many compliments and people asking me what I use.

Boujoise Healthy Mix Foundation - Really nice light to medium coverage foundation. Goes on nice and smooth, blends easily and is a perfect skin tone match.

Rimmel Lyra Pro Nail Polish in Orange Bliss - Lately Ive become obsessed with Orange and Coral Nail Polishes. Ive been wearing this Rimmel one quite a lot this month, so it deserves a mention.

Milani Runway Eyes Eyeshadow in Coffee Bean - I was lucky enough to win this in a giveaway hosted by the lovely Ladies at The London Beauty Review. It can be used wet for a more dramatic effect, which Ive been doing on for outer corner on the odd few weekends or dry for a more subtle look. The pigmentation is fantastic. I will definitely be getting myself a few more Milan Shadows.

MAC 219 Brush - I was lucky enough to get this for the bargain price of £10 from my lovely friend Marcia. I LOVE this brush, as you can tell by the pic.. its been well used over the weekend.

GOSH Touch Up Concealer.

One product I always seem to be attracted to is concealer. I can be more than happy with the one I'm currently using, but while browsing make up I'm always drawn to concealers and think to myself "Hmm wonder if this one will work any better". I do unfortunately suffer with dark circles, so concealer is a must for my under eye area.

The recent addition to my little concealer collection is GOSH's Touch Up Concealer which retails at £7.

I normally always seem to walk past the GOSH stand in Superdrug, I only have 2 products from the brand which is a Lipstick and an Eye Liner, but while out shopping last week, I went for a look at the GOSH concealers after having a look at most of the other brands, testing a few and being a bit unsure of the shades. After swatching the lightest shade available which is number 1, I could tell it was going to be an exact colour match, plus I also liked the brush applicator.

It's a liquid concealer but not a thick liquid as I have experienced with some concealer in the past. It applies nice and light and and blends so well without the need of any harsh pulling or tugging on my delicate under eye area. I normally just use one brush stroke under my eyes then blend it in and around. I find it covers so well and looks so natural without looking cakey as concealers can sometimes appear. it also doesn't settle into any of my creases or fine lines. It does a great job of concealing my under eye circles and also making my under eye area look a lot brighter. Shade 1 is a perfect match for my skin tone, although with only 2 shades available this concealer sadly isn't going to work for people with a darker skin tone. For me this would be the only downside with the product. I can definitely see myself re-purchasing this product in the future and would easily recommend it.

Bourjois So Laque Ultra Shine.

This is my first Bourjois Polish. Although I like Bourjois make up, I've never actually had a good look of their polishes or purchased one. So while out shopping yesterday, I decided that should change. So after looking through the shades I decided on Beige Glamour, which is a gorgeous dark pink.

Upon application, I found the brush to be quite stiff and the polish a bit too thick for my liking. I needed a few coats so now it actually looks a bit darker than it does in the bottle. I prefer the colour in the bottle to the colour i ended up finishing with on my nails. As for it supposedly being Ultra Shine, well I always apply a top coat anyway, so the finish looks no different to many of my other polishes.

Bargain of the Month - ELF Eyelid Primer.

First off, I'll explain why I purchased this Product. I am a big fan of UDDP. I apply it every single day, without fail and have obviously re-purchased a few times. However priced at around £13 I don't class it as cheap and with me using it every day, I do use it up pretty fast. So I decided to have a look around for a cheaper option, just to use for them days where I'm not doing anything special, just a bit of food shopping or whatever. Them days where I'll be home after a few hours anyway, so I'm not really that bothered if it creases or the colour fades, because no ones going to be looking at my make up and once I'm home for the day I normally take my make up off anyway.

So while on my little look out for a cheaper alternative, well actually there was no little lookout I just went straight to ELF as I knew they'd have one and it'd be cheap ha. So I purchased the ELF Eyelid Primer. Now at the time I didn't actually think to check the Mineral Make up section, as ELF also do a Mineral Eyeshadow Primer, but as I didn't know this I went for the Cheap £1.50 option. Looking back if I would have known about the Mineral one I most probably would have gone with that instead.

The packaging is fairly simple, nothing fancy like UDPP. It has similar packaging and applicator to most Lip Glosses to be honest.

I don't find it hard to work with and it applies fine. The formulation is nice and creamy with a neutral tone to it. It works well to even out my eyelids before applying my shadow. For £1.50 this is just the thing Ive been looking for. Applied in the morning, just before my shadow, I find it gives a nice even base and shadow applies really well on top. Performance wise I found it keeps my shadow in place and keep the creasing at bay for near enough most of the day.

Will I repurchase? - Yes, without a doubt. For me this is going to save me quite a bit of money. I use this for my lazy days now when I'm not doing anything special and my eye make up is toned down and pretty neutral, just so I look a bit decent. I use my UDPP for more heavier make up days now.

The New Trend - Two Toned Lips. Will it be your trend?

By now I'm sure you've all been aware of the new make up trend that's been gracing the catwalks, Two Toned Lips created by MAC make up artist Tom Pecheux for the Emanuel Ungaro show. Glamour magazine reported that Tom admitted that the style was 80's inspired and the way to make it more in line with today is to team the lips with a bare looking face....

Personally I loved the look on the models, but theres no way I'd ever consider trying it out on myself. For me its just too much of a bold statement. Even though paired with a bare fair its still too much for me. Plus I prefer my eyes to make the statement and keep my lips nude.

So what are your thought on the two toned lips look? Would you consider wearing this look out in public? as an every day look or maybe just a party look? or should it just be left on the catwalks?

Today's nails - Butter London "Perfect Prezzy"

This is my first Butter London Nail Polish. I don't really know too much about the brand to be honest, apart from the fact they are 3 free. The first time I ever actually saw one of their Polishes featured, was on Lipglossipings Blog. As soon as I saw it I knew I would eventually be purchasing one, however with them coming in at £12 on the Butter London Website and £9.75 on ASOS, the hefty price tags did put me off a little.

While browsing the clearance section on ASOS last week though, I spotted a Butter Polish for £5. Needless to say it was added to my order. I think this shade came out as part of a Christmas LE collection, as I cannot find it on the Butter London Website, plus the name "Perfect Prezzy" does suggest that too.

The formulation of these Polish is truly amazing. It was opaque with one coat, but for some reason when doing my nails, I just can't leave it at one coat. So each pic below is with two coats.

Just look how stunning this shade looks in the bottle.

Its fair to say that I definitely want me of these Polishes now. The website just makes me drool! ha.

I've been wanting this product since it was very first released and have swatched it many times while out in Boots but always thought "do I really need another highlighter, I'm happy with my current one" the more and more I kept seeing it on other women's blogs though I kept regretting not purchasing it. Then eventually it was watching Mizz Worthys YT vid that clinched it for me.

This highlighter simply is stunning. The consistency is so creamy and smooth and the pigmentation is truly amazing. I will admit I haven't tried it on my face yet as I only purchased it yesterday but I'm confident enough to tell you how much I love this product just by swatching it on my hand numerous times. Each time I've swatched it, its lasted on my hand for literally hours and the effect it gives is so stunning. I honestly can't wait to put my make up on tonight and apply it to my cheekbones.

A few people have complained about the packaging of this product, but personally I have no problem with the packaging. Its not really an issue for me, because the product itself is so damn good. Its hardly like anybody is going to see it anyway, I hardly have my make up collection on show for people to marvel at it or to make comments on, plus with how good this product actually is and how long its stayed on me when only being swatched, I highly doubt I'll be taking this product out with me for touch ups through out the day or night.

Well if you follow me on Twitter, you might have heard of me dropping a bottle of Purple Nail Polish while out shopping and it going all over my UGGs. I'm not ashamed to say I cried. I cried for 2 days actually and have never felt so gutted in all my life.

I loved and appreciated my UGGs so much. I'm a mother of 2 children, so if it wasn't for Gareth buying me my UGGs, you would have never seen the day when I'd be walking around in a pair of £180 boots. I know that doesn't sound a lot of money to most people, but to me its a hell of a lot.

After experiencing the power of UGGs and knowing how damn comfy they feel when wearing them, and how warm they keep my feet (could push my pram for miles with them babies on!) there was no way I could go back to having a cheap £10 pair of fakes. Sop I found myself in a bit of a situation, there was no way on this earth I just happened to have another £180 lying about to get myself a new pair, so I decided I had to get the next best thing, which are Emus.

I ordered them on Monday and they arrived today... so hello and welcome to my new booties!

I'm really quite surprised at how similar they are to UGGs. The only think I dislike about them is that the inside wool doesn't match the outside colour, as it does with UGGs. Its not really a problem though as you can't really notice it when they are on.

I supposed I should show you a few pics of my darling UGGs too. My poor babies :(

ELF Studio Kabuki Face Brush.

I've been needing a new Kabuki for a while now and while I would love to own MAC's 182 sadly I just don't have that kind of money to spend on a brush, plus as I only use a Kabuki for applying powder to set my foundation so to be honest I'm not really willing to pay ridiculous amounts just for a brush to do the simplest of jobs. So while on my search for a nice cheap Kabuki I decided to see what ELF had to offer and decided on their Kabuki from the Studio range (they also do one in the Mineral range).

First impressions were how small and compact the brush is, fantastic for carrying around with me and pulling out during the day if I need a little touch up with powder. It is extremely soft which I was surprised about and picks up a good amount of powder and distributes it nice and easily and buffs in really well. Ive experienced no shedding at all, I'm yet to wash it though so I will have to see how it fairs up once to comes to washing. Overall I'm really pleased a great brush at a great and affordable price. As I said though, I only use mine to apply powder sparingly over my foundation so I have no idea how this brush would fair up with applying mineral foundation etc. However I would definitely recommend it, if you just need a good reliable brush to do a simple job.

Well yesterday I was feeling slightly erm... how can I put this, basically fucked off! So I decided to go with Gareth to the Trafford Centre. Nothing can lift my mood more, than a bit of shopping ;)

First port of call was MAC. Gareth told me it was his treat, which made me smile like this -------> : D teeth was out and everything. I picked up Orb Eyeshadow, because I really needed another Neutral didn't I? Underage Lip Glass and Angel Lipstick.

While I was there I also decided I needed to pick up Pretty Please Lipstick, so I asked the sales assistant for it, only to be told "Never heard of it, we have Please Me, but no Pretty Please" I just stared at her, didn't even know what to say. She then went on to tell me "Have a look at our other Lipsticks again and see if theres anything else you want". I was still staring. Anyway to cut a long story short I told her I knew what I was looking for and I'd order it online instead.

Next up was Lush. Ive only ever tried Lush once before when I bought some of their bubble bars. The first time I used one, I wasn't even that impressed to be honest. Yeah my water for nice and pink and it had a nice faint smell, but I wasn't overly impressed. I obviously continued to use my Bubble bars with each bath though and now for some strange reason I find my self addicted! God knows what it is.. but Ive been itching to get back to LUSH and get some more. I really can't explain what my addiction is, I was more than happy with my Radox to be honest, but now all I want to do is go and shop at LUSH :insert confused face here: has any one else experienced this? or am I just weird? Gotta admit I do like running them under the water though and I do love looking at all the pretty different types in the LUSH shop. Maybe subconsciously I feel like I'm pampering myself?

Anyway... here's what I picked up. The Ma Bar, kind of appropriate seen as I am a mummy. Bathos and Creamy Candy Bar.

So all in all not a bad nights worth of shopping. Apart from the un-professional service in MAC.
