Simple but Pretty.

Last night, I decided to have a look at some of the items I went sent from Viva La Nails. I'd just freshly painted my nails, it was late (around 11.30pm) so I wanted to do a quick and simple look, just to make my nails look a little more interesting ha. The finished look is very simple, but I think its looks really pretty.

The polish I used is one of my favourites at the moment, Boots 17 Lasting Fix in Parma Voilet. I then added some Lilac coloured crushed shell to my ring finger and my thumb.

Adding the crushed shell was very easy. I waited until my polish was fully dry then emptied a tiny bit of crushed shell out, added a clear top coat to the 2 nails I wanted to add the shell too, then literally took my index finger on my other hand, licked it, dipped it into the crushed shell to pick up a bit, then stuck it on! haha. I then added another coat of clear polish just to seal it. Simple as.

What do you think?

  1. True. So true.
    Pretty. And simple.

  2. Wow that actually looks really pretty, the crushed shell I have is a lovely goldy greeny colour but I can't use it 'cause it's apparently not suitable for natural nails! Don't suppose you have any idea why? xo

  3. @ Jaljen - Thank you hunny. Bit boring but still kinda pretty hehe.

@ Leanne - Ohhh thats a bit poo isn't it! No idea why it can't be used on Natural nails, inless you're supposed to glue them on, but theyve stuck fine over the clear polish. It could be something to do with taking it off maybe? I think Im gunna have to soak my nails in to get it off.

  4. Yeah I would have thought it must be because of the removal, it would scratch the fuck out of natural nails whereas if it does on your falsies you can just stick a new lot on! xx

  5. Haha yep, although I'd much rather prefer your nails :(

  6. You're right!
    Simple but Real pretty!
