My new Summer essential - Nelsons Arnicare Arnica Cooling Gel.

Now that Summers here and the weather is glorious (well it has been.. its actually pissing down this morning though ha!) I end up doing a lot more walking instead of driving, taking my boys out on day trips etc and the one thing I always seem to suffer with is my feet. Tired achy painful feet. Every single pair of shoes I own gives me grief, except for my trusty EMU's but I can hardly where them in summer can I. The balls of my feet always end up really hot, tender and uncomfortable after a few hours of walking, and it generally last for the whole night until morning. Nelsons Arnica Cooling Gel has been my lifesaver recently where my feet are concerned.

"Specially formulated, Arnicare Arnica Cooling Gel combines the natural benefits of arnica with refreshing grapefruit oil and menthol to cool and soothe in hot sticky weather. It is ideal for rubbing into over-worked legs and ankles and to cool and revive tired feet and it’s also non-greasy and easily absorbed by the skin."
Available from Boots and Superdrug and most Supermarkets priced at £4.65 this product works wonders on my feet. The product itself is a transparent gel, which has a gorgeous citrus smell to it. Its light to use and I find that a little goes a long way. When applied to my feed it instantly has the most amazing cooling effect and really penetrates into my tired aching feet and helps to cool them down and relieve the achy uncomfortable feeling. It also absorbs incredibly fast with no sticky after feel which some gels can leave on the skin. Apparently Arnica also has a number of other benefits as well, so its always handy to have a tube in my medicine cabinet. Overall Its a quick to use, effective product and very affordable.

  1. Ooo, now this sounds like something that might help me soothe my pregnant feet and ankles!!! I'm just about to pop to Tesco (if ever there was such a thing!), so I think I might pick some of this up :)

    Fab review, thanks Jo x x x

  3. if your feet hurt after walking you might want to look into shoes that give them some more support... especially sneakers can feel very comfy but are usually quite bad for your feet. i can recommend camper shoes for walking long distances: http://shop.camper.com/index.xhtml

just got a pair of their sneakers in bright blue and they feel like a second pair of feet around mine, really amazing. they have a nice selection of styles, heels and flats too.
