Handbag Essential - Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant Stick

Now the winter months are approaching, I have to apply a Lip Balm daily, otherwise I will end up with dry sore Lips. Nomrally I only apply Lip balm at night. when going to bed, which works well for me and keeps any dryness at bay. Like I said though its getting colder now and my lips do need a little extra attention.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant Stick is just perfect for keeping in my handbag at all times.

Not only is the packaging gorgeous, but its quick and easy to use, and works well under or over Lipstick.

The product is designed to treat your lips to 8 hours of care. It moisturises, softens and smooths lips as well as providing antioxidant protection with vitamin E. It also contains SPF 15 to shield against UV exposure. Although the price of this is a bit of a shocker (£18.00) it is a fantastic product. It feels very luxurious on the Lips and does keep them baby soft. I also love the slight medicated scent. I will point out though that I was sent this for review, and I honestly don't know if I could afford to shell out £18 of my own cash for a Lip Balm, although it does last a lot longer than standard Lip Balms and I don't need to re-apply constantly - so you do get value for money. The pretty packaging is also a bonus.

Have you tried this product? any thoughts?

  4. I tried so hard to like this but couldn't get beyond the smell! EA produced some tinted ones a few years back and the colours were great if a little too pigmented for a balm, but again, the smell made me heave. Glad it is working for you Jo.

  5. I bought the skin protectant in the little jar as it seemed like you got more for your money...although I think the one you've got is probably in far more convenient packaging. I love it despite the odd taste and smell! I use it before I go to bed as kind of an intensive lip balm and my lips have never been in better condition. :)
